The Father's Heart Bible™ is a Bible you can read and listen to for free on any phone, and it has one big, happy secret on every page: God is a Father who loves you. When you are scared at night, when you feel sad, when you get in trouble — He is right there. You don't have to be the best or the smartest or the fastest. He loves you just because you are you.

Key takeawayYou have a Father in heaven who made you, knows your name, and loves you — no matter what. You don't have to earn it. You are already His.

When kids feel scared or sad

Every child feels worried or scared sometimes — of the dark, of a test, of being left alone, of not fitting in. That is normal, and it is okay. But more kids than ever are carrying big worries today, and they need to hear a gentle, true thing: you are not alone, and you are deeply loved.

feels afraid sometimes — fear of the dark, being away from mom or dad, or new places is completely normal

If you ever feel scared, or worried, or like nobody understands — please know this: you are not the only one, and there is nothing wrong with you. Lots of kids feel that way. Even grown-ups feel that way.

And here is the best part. You were never meant to carry those big feelings all by yourself. You have a Father in heaven who is bigger than every fear, who is awake all night while you sleep, and who is holding you close even when you cannot see Him. When you feel scared, you can talk to Him — like talking to the kindest dad in the whole world. He always listens.

A Father just for you

Did you know that God is not far away, like a king on a tall throne who is too busy for little kids? God is a Father — and He is your Father. He wanted you. He made you on purpose. He picked your smile, your laugh, your eyes, and the sound of your voice.

A good father loves to be with his kids. He listens when they talk. He helps when they fall down. He says, "I'm so glad you're mine." That is what God is like — only even better. He never gets too tired. He never gets too busy. He is never far away.

So when you feel small, remember: you have the biggest, strongest, kindest Father in all of heaven. And He loves you more than you could ever count.

God is your good, good Father. He made you, He knows your name, and He loves you no matter what.

What your Father says to you

"Hello, My child. I am your Father in heaven, and I want you to know something very important. I made you. I picked your smile and your laugh. When you were so tiny that nobody could see you yet, I already knew your name. And I already loved you.

You don't have to be the best at anything for Me to love you. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to win. I love you when you do great, and I love you just the same when you make a mistake. My love for you never, ever gets smaller.

So when you are scared, talk to Me — I am right here. When you are sad, I am close. When you are happy, I am happy too. I am awake all night while you sleep, watching over you. You are My child, and I am so glad you are Mine. I love you so much."

A prayer for children

Our Father, we thank You and praise You for these children. Let them hear Your whisper above every loud or scary thing — the worries, the comparing, the voices that make them feel small. Let them encounter Your love — not as a rule, but as a Father's delight — and know they are Your beloved, apart from being the best or the smartest or the fastest.

Give them grace to receive who they are from You before the world tries to tell them who to be. Father, wrap Your arms around every child who feels scared or sad or left out tonight, and let them feel how close You are. I pray Your protection over them from the enemy, from temptation, from anything that would harm or frighten them, and from despair.

Let them know there is no condemnation in You, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that nothing can separate them from Your love. Let them know You, their Father, as their true home and their safest place. And may they wake up every single day knowing they are loved by their heavenly Father.

In Jesus' name, amen.
