The Bible in Turkey

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 Başlangıçta göksel Babamız gökleri ve yeri yarattı.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 Yer boş ve şekilsizdi, karanlık enginin yüzünü kaplıyordu ve Babamızın Ruhu suların yüzü üzerinde dalgalanıyordu.

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 Sonra Babamız, "Işık olsun" dedi ve ışık oldu.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 Işığın iyi olduğunu gördü ve ışığı karanlıktan ayırdı.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 Işığa "gündüz", karanlığa ise "gece" adını verdi. Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; ilk gün.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 Babamız, "Suların arasında bir kubbe olsun ve suları birbirinden ayırsın" dedi.

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 Böylece Babamız kubbeyi yarattı; kubbenin altındaki suları üstündeki sulardan ayırdı. Ve öyle oldu.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 Kubbeye "gök" adını verdi. Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; ikinci gün.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 Sonra Babamız, "Göğün altındaki sular bir yere toplansın ve kuru toprak görünsün" dedi. Ve öyle oldu.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 Kuru toprağa "kara", toplanan sulara ise "deniz" adını verdi. Ve bunun iyi olduğunu gördü.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 Sonra, "Kara bitkiler bitirsin: tohum veren otlar ve içinde tohum bulunan meyveler veren ağaçlar, her biri kendi türüne göre" dedi. Ve öyle oldu.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 Kara bitkiler bitirdi: türlerine göre tohum veren otlar ve türlerine göre içinde tohum bulunan meyveler veren ağaçlar. Ve Babamız bunun iyi olduğunu gördü.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; üçüncü gün.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 Babamız, "Gök kubbesinde ışıklar olsun; gündüzü geceden ayırsınlar ve mevsimleri, günleri ve yılları belirleyen işaretler olarak hizmet etsinler" dedi,

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 "ve gök kubbesinde ışıklar olup yeryüzünü aydınlatsınlar." Ve öyle oldu.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 Babamız iki büyük ışık yarattı: gündüze egemen olması için büyük ışığı, geceye egemen olması için küçük ışığı. Yıldızları da yarattı.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 Yeryüzünü aydınlatmaları için onları gök kubbesine yerleştirdi,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 gündüze ve geceye egemen olsunlar ve ışığı karanlıktan ayırsınlar diye. Ve bunun iyi olduğunu gördü.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; dördüncü gün.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 Sonra Babamız, "Sular canlı yaratıklarla dolup taşsın ve kuşlar yeryüzünün üzerinde, gök kubbesinde uçsun" dedi.

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 Böylece büyük deniz yaratıklarını ve suda kaynaşıp hareket eden her canlı yaratığı, her birini kendi türüne göre, ve her kanatlı kuşu kendi türüne göre yarattı. Ve bunun iyi olduğunu gördü.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 Babamız onları kutsayarak, "Verimli olun, çoğalın ve denizlerdeki suları doldurun; kuşlar da yeryüzünde çoğalsın" dedi.

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; beşinci gün.

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 Babamız, "Kara, türlerine göre canlı yaratıklar çıkarsın: evcil hayvanlar, yerde sürünen yaratıklar ve yabani hayvanlar, her biri kendi türüne göre" dedi. Ve öyle oldu.

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 Yabani hayvanları türlerine göre, evcil hayvanları türlerine göre ve yerde sürünen bütün yaratıkları türlerine göre yarattı. Ve bunun iyi olduğunu gördü.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 Sonra Babamız, "İnsanı kendi suretimizde, kendi benzeyişimizde yaratalım; öyle ki denizdeki balıklara, gökteki kuşlara, evcil hayvanlara, bütün yeryüzüne ve yerde sürünen her yaratığa egemen olsunlar" dedi.

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 Böylece Babamız insanı kendi suretinde yarattı; onları Baba, Oğul ve Kutsal Ruh'un suretinde yarattı; onları erkek ve dişi olarak yarattı.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 Babamız onları kutsadı ve onlara, "Verimli olun, çoğalın; yeryüzünü doldurun ve onu yönetiminiz altına alın. Denizdeki balıklara, gökteki kuşlara ve yerde hareket eden her canlı yaratığa egemen olun" dedi.

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 Sonra, "İşte, bütün yeryüzünün üzerindeki tohum veren her otu ve içinde tohum bulunan meyve veren her ağacı size veriyorum. Bunlar size yiyecek olacak." dedi.

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 "Yeryüzündeki bütün hayvanlara, gökteki bütün kuşlara ve yerde sürünen bütün yaratıklara —içinde yaşam soluğu olan her şeye— yiyecek olarak yeşil bitkilerin hepsini veriyorum." Ve öyle oldu.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 Babamız yaptığı her şeyi gördü ve işte, çok iyiydi. Akşam oldu, sabah oldu; altıncı gün.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 Ferisiler'den, Yahudiler'in önderlerinden Nikodim adında bir adam vardı.

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 Bu adam bir gece İsa'ya gelerek O'na, "Rabbî, senin Babamız'dan gelmiş bir öğretmen olduğunu biliyoruz; çünkü Babamız kendisiyle olmadıkça hiç kimse senin yaptığın bu belirtileri yapamaz" dedi.

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 İsa ona şöyle karşılık verdi: "Sana doğrusunu, doğrusunu söylüyorum: Bir kişi yeniden doğmadıkça Babamız'ın egemenliğini göremez."

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 Nikodim O'na, "Yaşlanmış bir adam nasıl doğabilir? İkinci kez annesinin rahmine girip doğabilir mi?" dedi.

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 İsa şu yanıtı verdi: "Sana doğrusunu, doğrusunu söylüyorum: Bir kişi sudan ve Kutsal Ruh'tan doğmadıkça Babamız'ın egemenliğine giremez."

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 Bedenden doğan bedendir, Kutsal Ruh'tan doğan ise ruhtur.

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 Size, 'Yeniden doğmalısınız' dediğime şaşmayın.

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 Yel dilediği yerde eser; sesini duyarsın, ama nereden gelip nereye gittiğini bilmezsin. Kutsal Ruh'tan doğan herkes de böyledir.

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 Nikodim O'na, "Bunlar nasıl olabilir?" dedi.

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 İsa ona şöyle yanıt verdi: "Sen İsrail'in öğretmeni olduğun halde bunları anlamıyor musun?"

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 Sana doğrusunu, doğrusunu söylüyorum: Biz bildiğimizi söylüyor ve gördüğümüze tanıklık ediyoruz; ama siz tanıklığımızı kabul etmiyorsunuz.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 Size dünyasal şeyleri söylediğimde inanmıyorsanız, göksel şeyleri söylediğimde nasıl inanacaksınız?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 Gökten inmiş olan İnsanoğlu'ndan başka hiç kimse göğe çıkmamıştır.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 Musa çölde yılanı nasıl yukarı kaldırdıysa, İnsanoğlu da öylece yukarı kaldırılmalıdır;

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 öyle ki O'na iman eden herkes sonsuz yaşama kavuşsun.

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 Çünkü Babamız dünyayı o kadar çok sevdi ki, biricik Oğlu'nu verdi; öyle ki O'na iman eden hiç kimse mahvolmasın, ama sonsuz yaşama kavuşsun.

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 Çünkü Babamız, Oğlu'nu dünyayı yargılamak için dünyaya göndermedi, dünya O'nun aracılığıyla kurtulsun diye gönderdi.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 O'na iman eden yargılanmaz; ama iman etmeyen, Babamız'ın biricik Oğlu'nun adına iman etmediği için zaten yargılanmıştır.

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 Yargı da şudur: Işık dünyaya geldi, ama insanlar ışıktan çok karanlığı sevdiler; çünkü yaptıkları kötüydü.

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 Çünkü kötülük yapan herkes ışıktan nefret eder ve yaptıkları açığa çıkmasın diye ışığa gelmez.

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 Ama gerçeği yapan, yaptıklarının Babamız'da gerçekleştirildiği açıkça görünsün diye ışığa gelir.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 Bundan sonra İsa öğrencileriyle birlikte Yahudiye kırsalına gitti; orada onlarla birlikte kaldı ve vaftiz ediyordu.

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 Yahya'ya gelip O'na, "Rabbî, Şeria Irmağı'nın karşı yakasında seninle birlikte olan ve kendisine tanıklık ettiğin adam, işte O vaftiz ediyor ve herkes O'na gidiyor" dediler.

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 Yahya şöyle karşılık verdi: "İnsana gökten verilmedikçe, o tek bir şey bile alamaz."

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 'Ben Mesih değilim, ama O'nun önünden gönderildim' dediğime siz kendiniz tanıklık edebilirsiniz.

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 Geline sahip olan, güveydir — İsa. Güveyin yanında durup onu dinleyen dostu ise güveyin sesiyle çok sevinir. İşte benim sevincim şimdi tam oldu.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 O büyümeli, bense küçülmeliyim.

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 Yukarıdan gelen, her şeyin üstündedir. Yeryüzünden olan yeryüzüne aittir ve yeryüzüne özgü biçimde konuşur. Gökten gelen ise her şeyin üstündedir.

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 Gördüğüne ve işittiğine tanıklık eder, ama kimse O'nun tanıklığını kabul etmez.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 O'nun tanıklığını kabul eden, Babamız'ın gerçek olduğunu onaylamış olur.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 Çünkü Babamız'ın gönderdiği kişi Babamız'ın sözlerini söyler; çünkü O, Kutsal Ruh'u ölçüsüzce verir.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 Babamız Oğlu'nu sever ve her şeyi O'nun eline vermiştir.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 Oğul'a iman edenin sonsuz yaşamı vardır; Oğul'a itaat etmeyen ise yaşamı görmeyecek, tersine Babamız'ın gazabı onun üzerinde kalacaktır.
