1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 ในปฐมกาล พระบิดาแห่งสวรรค์ของเราทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 แผ่นดินโลกนั้นว่างเปล่าและไร้รูปร่าง ความมืดปกคลุมอยู่เหนือพื้นน้ำลึก และพระวิญญาณของพระบิดาของเราทรงเคลื่อนไหวอยู่เหนือผิวน้ำ

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 แล้วพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงเกิดความสว่าง” และความสว่างก็เกิดขึ้น

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าความสว่างนั้นดี และพระองค์ทรงแยกความสว่างออกจากความมืด

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 พระองค์ทรงเรียกความสว่างว่า “วัน” และความมืดนั้นพระองค์ทรงเรียกว่า “คืน” มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่หนึ่ง

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 และพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงมีภาคพื้นในระหว่างน้ำ เพื่อแยกน้ำออกจากน้ำ”

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 ดังนั้นพระองค์จึงทรงสร้างภาคพื้นนั้น และทรงแยกน้ำที่อยู่ใต้ภาคพื้นออกจากน้ำที่อยู่เหนือภาคพื้น ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 พระองค์ทรงเรียกภาคพื้นนั้นว่า “ฟ้า” มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่สอง

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 แล้วพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงให้น้ำที่อยู่ใต้ฟ้ารวมเข้าอยู่ในที่แห่งเดียวกัน และจงให้พื้นดินแห้งปรากฏขึ้น” ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 พระองค์ทรงเรียกพื้นดินแห้งว่า “แผ่นดิน” และน้ำที่รวมเข้าด้วยกันนั้นพระองค์ทรงเรียกว่า “ทะเล” และพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าดี

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 แล้วพระองค์ตรัสว่า “จงให้แผ่นดินเกิดพืชพรรณ คือพืชที่มีเมล็ดและต้นไม้ที่ออกผลซึ่งมีเมล็ด ตามชนิดของมัน” ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 แผ่นดินก็เกิดพืชพรรณ คือพืชที่มีเมล็ดตามชนิดของมัน และต้นไม้ที่ออกผลซึ่งมีเมล็ดตามชนิดของมัน และพระบิดาของเราทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าดี

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่สาม

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 และพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงมีดวงสว่างในภาคพื้นฟ้า เพื่อแยกวันออกจากคืน และให้เป็นหมายกำหนดฤดูกาล วัน และปี”

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 “และให้เป็นดวงสว่างในภาคพื้นฟ้า เพื่อส่องสว่างบนแผ่นดินโลก” ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 พระบิดาของเราทรงสร้างดวงสว่างใหญ่สองดวง คือดวงที่ใหญ่กว่าให้ครองวัน และดวงที่เล็กกว่าให้ครองคืน พระองค์ทรงสร้างดวงดาวต่าง ๆ ด้วย

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 พระองค์ทรงตั้งดวงสว่างเหล่านั้นไว้ในภาคพื้นฟ้า เพื่อส่องสว่างบนแผ่นดินโลก

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 เพื่อครองวันและคืน และเพื่อแยกความสว่างออกจากความมืด และพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าดี

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่สี่

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 แล้วพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงให้น้ำเต็มไปด้วยสัตว์ที่มีชีวิต และจงให้นกบินอยู่เหนือแผ่นดินโลกในภาคพื้นฟ้า”

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 ดังนั้นพระองค์จึงทรงสร้างสัตว์ทะเลใหญ่ และสัตว์ที่มีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่เคลื่อนไหวและมีอยู่มากมายในน้ำ ตามชนิดของมัน และนกที่มีปีกทุกชนิดตามชนิดของมัน และพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าดี

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 พระบิดาของเราทรงอวยพรสัตว์เหล่านั้นและตรัสว่า “จงมีลูกดกทวีมากขึ้นจนเต็มน้ำในทะเล และจงให้นกทวีมากขึ้นบนแผ่นดินโลก”

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่ห้า

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 และพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “จงให้แผ่นดินเกิดสัตว์ที่มีชีวิตตามชนิดของมัน คือสัตว์ใช้งาน สัตว์เลื้อยคลานบนพื้นดิน และสัตว์ป่า ตามชนิดของมัน” ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 พระองค์ทรงสร้างสัตว์ป่าตามชนิดของมัน สัตว์ใช้งานตามชนิดของมัน และสัตว์ทั้งปวงที่เลื้อยคลานบนพื้นดินตามชนิดของมัน และพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นว่าดี

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 แล้วพระบิดาของเราตรัสว่า “ให้เราสร้างมนุษย์ขึ้นตามฉายาของเรา ตามอย่างของเรา เพื่อให้พวกเขาครอบครองปลาในทะเล นกในท้องฟ้า สัตว์ใช้งาน ทั่วทั้งแผ่นดินโลก และสัตว์ทั้งปวงที่เลื้อยคลานบนพื้นดิน”

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 ดังนั้นพระบิดาของเราจึงทรงสร้างมนุษย์ขึ้นตามฉายาของพระองค์เอง ตามฉายาของพระบิดา พระบุตร และพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ พระองค์ทรงสร้างพวกเขาขึ้น พระองค์ทรงสร้างพวกเขาให้เป็นชายและหญิง

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 พระบิดาของเราทรงอวยพรพวกเขาและตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “จงมีลูกดกทวีมากขึ้น จงให้เต็มแผ่นดินโลกและมีอำนาจเหนือมัน จงครอบครองปลาในทะเล นกในท้องฟ้า และสัตว์ที่มีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่เคลื่อนไหวอยู่บนพื้นดิน”

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 แล้วพระองค์ตรัสว่า “เราให้พืชทุกชนิดที่มีเมล็ดทั่วพื้นแผ่นดินโลก และต้นไม้ทุกต้นที่ออกผลซึ่งมีเมล็ดแก่เจ้า สิ่งเหล่านี้จะเป็นอาหารของเจ้า

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 และแก่สัตว์ทั้งปวงบนแผ่นดินโลก นกทั้งปวงในท้องฟ้า และสัตว์ทั้งปวงที่เลื้อยคลานบนพื้นดิน—ทุกสิ่งที่มีลมหายใจแห่งชีวิตอยู่ในตัว—เราให้พืชเขียวทุกชนิดเป็นอาหาร” ก็เป็นไปตามนั้น

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 พระบิดาของเราทอดพระเนตรทุกสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงสร้างไว้ และเห็นว่าดียิ่งนัก มีเวลาเย็นและมีเวลาเช้า เป็นวันที่หก

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 มีชายคนหนึ่งในพวกฟาริสีชื่อนิโคเดมัส เป็นขุนนางของพวกยิว

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 ชายผู้นี้มาหาพระเยซูในเวลากลางคืนและทูลพระองค์ว่า “รับบี เราทราบว่าท่านเป็นครูที่มาจากพระบิดาของเรา เพราะไม่มีผู้ใดสามารถทำหมายสำคัญเหล่านี้ที่ท่านทำได้ เว้นแต่พระบิดาของเราสถิตกับเขา”

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า “เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดไม่ได้บังเกิดใหม่ ผู้นั้นจะเห็นแผ่นดินของพระบิดาของเราไม่ได้”

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 นิโคเดมัสทูลพระองค์ว่า “คนชราแล้วจะบังเกิดใหม่ได้อย่างไร เขาจะเข้าไปในครรภ์มารดาครั้งที่สองและบังเกิดอีกได้หรือ”

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า “เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดไม่ได้บังเกิดจากน้ำและพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ ผู้นั้นจะเข้าในแผ่นดินของพระบิดาของเราไม่ได้”

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 สิ่งที่บังเกิดจากเนื้อหนังก็เป็นเนื้อหนัง และสิ่งที่บังเกิดจากพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ก็เป็นจิตวิญญาณ

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 อย่าประหลาดใจที่เราบอกพวกท่านว่า ‘พวกท่านต้องบังเกิดใหม่’

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 ลมย่อมพัดไปในที่ที่ลมประสงค์ และท่านได้ยินเสียงของลม แต่ท่านไม่รู้ว่าลมมาจากไหนและไปที่ไหน ทุกคนที่บังเกิดจากพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ก็เป็นเช่นนั้น

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 นิโคเดมัสทูลพระองค์ว่า “เหตุการณ์เหล่านี้จะเป็นไปได้อย่างไร”

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า “ท่านเป็นอาจารย์ของอิสราเอล และยังไม่เข้าใจสิ่งเหล่านี้หรือ”

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า เรากล่าวสิ่งที่เรารู้ และเป็นพยานถึงสิ่งที่เราได้เห็น แต่พวกท่านไม่ยอมรับคำพยานของเรา

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 ถ้าเราบอกท่านถึงสิ่งฝ่ายโลกแล้วท่านยังไม่เชื่อ ถ้าเราบอกท่านถึงสิ่งฝ่ายสวรรค์ ท่านจะเชื่อได้อย่างไร

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 ไม่มีผู้ใดเคยขึ้นไปสู่สวรรค์ นอกจากผู้ที่ลงมาจากสวรรค์ คือบุตรมนุษย์

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 และโมเสสได้ยกงูขึ้นในถิ่นทุรกันดารฉันใด บุตรมนุษย์ก็จะต้องถูกยกขึ้นฉันนั้น

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 เพื่อทุกคนที่เชื่อในพระองค์จะมีชีวิตนิรันดร์

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 เพราะพระบิดาของเราทรงรักโลกมาก จนได้ประทานพระบุตรองค์เดียวของพระองค์ เพื่อทุกคนที่เชื่อในพระองค์จะไม่พินาศ แต่มีชีวิตนิรันดร์

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 เพราะพระบิดาของเรามิได้ทรงส่งพระบุตรเข้ามาในโลกเพื่อพิพากษาลงโทษโลก แต่เพื่อให้โลกได้รับความรอดโดยพระองค์

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 ผู้ที่เชื่อในพระองค์ก็ไม่ถูกพิพากษาลงโทษ แต่ผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อก็ถูกพิพากษาลงโทษอยู่แล้ว เพราะเขาไม่ได้เชื่อในพระนามของพระบุตรองค์เดียวของพระบิดาของเรา

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 และการพิพากษานั้นเป็นเช่นนี้ คือความสว่างได้เข้ามาในโลกแล้ว แต่ผู้คนรักความมืดมากกว่าความสว่าง เพราะการกระทำของเขาชั่ว

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 เพราะทุกคนที่ประพฤติชั่วย่อมเกลียดความสว่าง และไม่มาสู่ความสว่าง เพราะกลัวว่าการกระทำของตนจะถูกเปิดเผย

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 แต่ผู้ที่ประพฤติตามความจริงย่อมมาสู่ความสว่าง เพื่อจะให้เห็นชัดเจนว่าการกระทำของเขาได้ทำขึ้นในพระบิดาของเรา

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 ภายหลังเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้ พระเยซูกับเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในชนบทแคว้นยูเดีย และพระองค์ประทับอยู่ที่นั่นกับพวกเขาและทรงให้บัพติศมา

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 ยอห์นก็ให้บัพติศมาอยู่ที่อายโนนใกล้เมืองสาลิมด้วย เพราะที่นั่นมีน้ำมาก และผู้คนพากันมารับบัพติศมา

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 เพราะยอห์นยังไม่ถูกจำคุก

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 เกิดการโต้เถียงขึ้นระหว่างสาวกบางคนของยอห์นกับชาวยิวคนหนึ่งในเรื่องการชำระให้บริสุทธิ์

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 พวกเขามาหายอห์นและพูดกับเขาว่า “รับบี ผู้ที่อยู่กับท่านที่ฟากตะวันออกของแม่น้ำจอร์แดน ผู้ที่ท่านเป็นพยานถึงนั้น ดูเถิด ท่านผู้นั้นกำลังให้บัพติศมา และผู้คนทั้งปวงพากันไปหาท่าน”

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 ยอห์นตอบว่า “มนุษย์จะรับสิ่งใดไม่ได้เลย เว้นแต่สิ่งนั้นจะประทานแก่เขาจากสวรรค์

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 พวกท่านเองเป็นพยานได้ว่าข้าพเจ้าได้พูดว่า ‘ข้าพเจ้าไม่ใช่พระคริสต์ แต่ข้าพเจ้าถูกส่งมาก่อนพระองค์’

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 ผู้ที่มีเจ้าสาวก็คือเจ้าบ่าว—คือพระเยซู ส่วนสหายของเจ้าบ่าวที่ยืนคอยฟังเสียงของเจ้าบ่าว ก็ชื่นชมยินดียิ่งนักเมื่อได้ยินเสียงของเจ้าบ่าว เพราะฉะนั้นความชื่นชมยินดีของข้าพเจ้านี้จึงเต็มเปี่ยมแล้ว

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 พระองค์ต้องยิ่งใหญ่ขึ้น แต่ข้าพเจ้าต้องด้อยลง

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 ผู้ที่มาจากเบื้องบนย่อมอยู่เหนือสิ่งทั้งปวง ผู้ที่มาจากแผ่นดินโลกย่อมเป็นฝ่ายแผ่นดินโลก และพูดอย่างฝ่ายโลก ผู้ที่มาจากสวรรค์ย่อมอยู่เหนือสิ่งทั้งปวง

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 พระองค์ทรงเป็นพยานถึงสิ่งที่พระองค์ได้ทรงเห็นและได้ทรงฟัง แต่ไม่มีผู้ใดรับคำพยานของพระองค์

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 ผู้ที่รับคำพยานของพระองค์ก็รับรองว่าพระบิดาของเราทรงสัตย์จริง

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 เพราะผู้ที่พระบิดาของเราทรงส่งมานั้นย่อมกล่าวพระวจนะของพระบิดาของเรา เพราะพระองค์ประทานพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์อย่างไม่มีจำกัด

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 พระบิดาของเราทรงรักพระบุตร และได้ทรงมอบทุกสิ่งไว้ในพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 ผู้ที่เชื่อในพระบุตรก็มีชีวิตนิรันดร์ ส่วนผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อฟังพระบุตรจะไม่ได้เห็นชีวิต แต่พระพิโรธของพระบิดาของเราดำรงอยู่บนเขา
