1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 ابتدا میں ہمارے آسمانی باپ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو خلق کیا۔

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 اور زمین بے ہیئت اور سُونی تھی، اور گہرے پانی کی سطح پر اندھیرا چھایا ہوا تھا، اور ہمارے باپ کا روح پانی کی سطح پر منڈلا رہا تھا۔

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 پھر ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”روشنی ہو جائے،“ اور روشنی ہو گئی۔

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 اُس نے دیکھا کہ روشنی اچھی ہے، اور اُس نے روشنی کو اندھیرے سے جدا کیا۔

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 اُس نے روشنی کو ”دن“ کہا، اور اندھیرے کو اُس نے ”رات“ کہا۔ اور شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—پہلا دن۔

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 اور ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”پانیوں کے درمیان ایک وُسعت ہو جو پانی کو پانی سے جدا کرے۔“

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 چنانچہ اُس نے وُسعت کو بنایا اور وُسعت کے نیچے کے پانی کو اُس کے اوپر کے پانی سے جدا کیا۔ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 اُس نے وُسعت کو ”آسمان“ کہا۔ سو شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—دوسرا دن۔

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 پھر ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”آسمان کے نیچے کا پانی ایک جگہ جمع ہو جائے، اور خشک زمین ظاہر ہو جائے۔“ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 اُس نے خشک زمین کو ”زمین“ کہا، اور جمع شدہ پانیوں کو اُس نے ”سمندر“ کہا۔ اور اُس نے دیکھا کہ یہ اچھا ہے۔

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 پھر اُس نے فرمایا، ”زمین ہریالی اُگائے: بیج دار پودے اور درخت جو اپنی اپنی نوع کے مطابق بیج دار پھل لاتے ہوں۔“ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 زمین نے ہریالی اُگائی: اپنی اپنی نوع کے مطابق بیج دار پودے اور اپنی اپنی نوع کے مطابق بیج دار پھل لانے والے درخت۔ اور ہمارے باپ نے دیکھا کہ یہ اچھا ہے۔

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 اور شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—تیسرا دن۔

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 اور ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”آسمان کی وُسعت میں روشنیاں ہوں جو دن کو رات سے جدا کریں، اور وہ نشانوں کے طور پر کام آئیں تاکہ موسموں، دنوں اور برسوں کو مقرر کریں،“

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 ”اور وہ آسمان کی وُسعت میں روشنیاں ہوں تاکہ زمین پر روشنی دیں۔“ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 ہمارے باپ نے دو بڑی روشنیاں بنائیں: بڑی روشنی دن پر حکومت کرنے کے لیے اور چھوٹی روشنی رات پر حکومت کرنے کے لیے۔ اُس نے ستارے بھی بنائے۔

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 اُس نے اُنہیں آسمان کی وُسعت میں رکھا تاکہ زمین پر روشنی دیں،

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 اور دن اور رات پر حکومت کریں، اور روشنی کو اندھیرے سے جدا کریں۔ اور اُس نے دیکھا کہ یہ اچھا ہے۔

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 سو شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—چوتھا دن۔

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 پھر ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”پانی جاندار مخلوقات سے بھر جائے، اور پرندے زمین کے اوپر آسمان کی وُسعت میں اُڑیں۔“

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 چنانچہ اُس نے سمندر کے بڑے جانوروں کو، اور ہر اُس جاندار مخلوق کو جو پانی میں چلتی اور بھری ہوئی ہے، اپنی اپنی نوع کے مطابق خلق کیا، اور ہر پر دار پرندے کو اُس کی نوع کے مطابق۔ اور اُس نے دیکھا کہ یہ اچھا ہے۔

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 ہمارے باپ نے اُنہیں برکت دی اور فرمایا، ”پھلو اور بڑھو اور سمندروں کے پانی کو بھر دو، اور پرندے زمین پر بڑھیں۔“

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 اور شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—پانچواں دن۔

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 اور ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”زمین اپنی اپنی نوع کے مطابق جاندار مخلوقات پیدا کرے: مویشی، زمین پر رینگنے والے جانور، اور جنگلی جانور، ہر ایک اپنی نوع کے مطابق۔“ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 اُس نے جنگلی جانوروں کو اُن کی انواع کے مطابق، مویشیوں کو اُن کی انواع کے مطابق، اور زمین پر رینگنے والی تمام مخلوقات کو اُن کی انواع کے مطابق بنایا۔ اور اُس نے دیکھا کہ یہ اچھا ہے۔

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 پھر ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”آؤ ہم انسان کو اپنی صورت پر، اپنی شبیہ کے مطابق بنائیں، تاکہ وہ سمندر کی مچھلیوں اور آسمان کے پرندوں پر، مویشیوں پر، ساری زمین پر، اور زمین پر رینگنے والی ہر مخلوق پر حکومت کریں۔“

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 چنانچہ ہمارے باپ نے انسان کو اُن ہی کی صورت پر خلق کیا؛ باپ، بیٹے اور روحُ القُدس کی صورت پر اُس نے اُنہیں خلق کیا؛ نر اور مادہ اُس نے اُنہیں خلق کیا۔

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 ہمارے باپ نے اُنہیں برکت دی اور اُن سے فرمایا، ”پھلو اور بڑھو؛ زمین کو بھر دو اور اُسے اپنے تابع کر لو۔ سمندر کی مچھلیوں اور آسمان کے پرندوں پر، اور زمین پر چلنے والی ہر جاندار مخلوق پر حکومت کرو۔“

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 پھر اُس نے فرمایا، ”میں تمہیں ساری زمین کی سطح پر ہر بیج دار پودا اور ہر وہ درخت دیتا ہوں جو بیج دار پھل لاتا ہے۔ وہ تمہاری خوراک کے لیے ہوں گے۔

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 ”اور زمین کے سب جانوروں کو، آسمان کے سب پرندوں کو، اور زمین پر رینگنے والی سب مخلوقات کو—ہر اُس چیز کو جس میں زندگی کا دم ہے—میں خوراک کے لیے ہر ہرا پودا دیتا ہوں۔“ اور ایسا ہی ہوا۔

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 ہمارے باپ نے جو کچھ بنایا تھا اُس سب کو دیکھا، اور وہ بہت اچھا تھا۔ سو شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—چھٹا دن۔

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 اب فریسیوں میں سے ایک آدمی تھا جس کا نام نِیکُدیمُس تھا، جو یہودیوں کا ایک سردار تھا۔

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 یہ آدمی رات کے وقت یسوع کے پاس آیا اور اُس سے کہا، ”اے رَبّی، ہم جانتے ہیں کہ آپ ایک اُستاد ہیں جو ہمارے باپ کی طرف سے آئے ہیں، کیونکہ کوئی بھی یہ نشان جو آپ دکھاتے ہیں نہیں دکھا سکتا جب تک ہمارا باپ اُس کے ساتھ نہ ہو۔“

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 یسوع نے اُسے جواب دیا، ”میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، جب تک کوئی نئے سرے سے پیدا نہ ہو وہ ہمارے باپ کی بادشاہی کو دیکھ نہیں سکتا۔“

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 نِیکُدیمُس نے اُس سے کہا، ”آدمی بوڑھا ہونے پر کیونکر پیدا ہو سکتا ہے؟ کیا وہ دوسری بار اپنی ماں کے پیٹ میں داخل ہو کر پیدا ہو سکتا ہے؟“

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 یسوع نے جواب دیا، ”میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، جب تک کوئی پانی اور روحُ القُدس سے پیدا نہ ہو، وہ ہمارے باپ کی بادشاہی میں داخل نہیں ہو سکتا۔“

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 جو جسم سے پیدا ہوا ہے وہ جسم ہے، اور جو روحُ القُدس سے پیدا ہوا ہے وہ روح ہے۔

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 تُو حیران نہ ہو کہ میں نے تجھ سے کہا، ’تم سب کو نئے سرے سے پیدا ہونا ضروری ہے۔‘

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 ہوا جدھر چاہتی ہے چلتی ہے، اور تُو اُس کی آواز سنتا ہے، لیکن تُو نہیں جانتا کہ وہ کہاں سے آتی ہے یا کہاں جاتی ہے۔ ہر اُس شخص کا یہی حال ہے جو روحُ القُدس سے پیدا ہوا ہے۔

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 نِیکُدیمُس نے اُس سے کہا، ”یہ باتیں کیونکر ہو سکتی ہیں؟“

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 یسوع نے اُسے جواب دیا، ”کیا تُو اسرائیل کا اُستاد ہے اور پھر بھی ان باتوں کو نہیں سمجھتا؟“

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، ہم اُسی کی بات کرتے ہیں جسے ہم جانتے ہیں، اور اُسی کی گواہی دیتے ہیں جسے ہم نے دیکھا ہے، لیکن تم لوگ ہماری گواہی قبول نہیں کرتے۔

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 اگر میں نے تم سے زمینی باتیں کہی ہیں اور تم ایمان نہیں لاتے، تو اگر میں تم سے آسمانی باتیں کہوں تو تم کیونکر ایمان لاؤ گے؟

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 کوئی آسمان پر نہیں چڑھا سوائے اُس کے جو آسمان سے اُترا، یعنی ابنِ آدم۔

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 اور جس طرح موسیٰ نے بیابان میں سانپ کو اونچا کیا، اُسی طرح ضرور ہے کہ ابنِ آدم بھی اونچا کیا جائے،

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 تاکہ جو کوئی اُس پر ایمان لائے ہمیشہ کی زندگی پائے۔

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 کیونکہ ہمارے باپ نے دنیا سے ایسی محبت رکھی کہ اُس نے اپنا اکلوتا بیٹا بخش دیا، تاکہ جو کوئی اُس پر ایمان لائے ہلاک نہ ہو بلکہ ہمیشہ کی زندگی پائے۔

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 کیونکہ ہمارے باپ نے اپنے بیٹے کو دنیا میں اِس لیے نہیں بھیجا کہ دنیا پر سزا کا حکم لگائے، بلکہ اِس لیے کہ دنیا اُس کے وسیلے سے نجات پائے۔

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 جو اُس پر ایمان لاتا ہے اُس پر سزا کا حکم نہیں لگتا، لیکن جو ایمان نہیں لاتا اُس پر سزا کا حکم پہلے ہی لگ چکا ہے، کیونکہ وہ ہمارے باپ کے اکلوتے بیٹے کے نام پر ایمان نہیں لایا۔

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 اور سزا کا حکم یہ ہے: روشنی دنیا میں آ چکی ہے، مگر لوگوں نے روشنی کی نسبت اندھیرے سے محبت رکھی کیونکہ اُن کے کام بُرے تھے۔

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 کیونکہ ہر وہ شخص جو بُرے کام کرتا ہے روشنی سے نفرت رکھتا ہے اور روشنی کے پاس نہیں آتا، اِس ڈر سے کہ اُس کے کام کھل نہ جائیں۔

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 لیکن جو سچائی پر عمل کرتا ہے وہ روشنی کے پاس آتا ہے، تاکہ صاف ظاہر ہو جائے کہ اُس کے کام ہمارے باپ میں کیے گئے ہیں۔

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 اِس کے بعد یسوع اور اُس کے شاگرد یہودیہ کے دیہات میں گئے، اور وہاں وہ اُن کے ساتھ رہا اور بپتسمہ دیتا رہا۔

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 یوحنا بھی سالِم کے قریب عینون میں بپتسمہ دے رہا تھا، کیونکہ وہاں پانی کثرت سے تھا، اور لوگ آتے اور بپتسمہ پاتے تھے،

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 کیونکہ یوحنا ابھی تک قید میں نہیں ڈالا گیا تھا۔

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 اب یوحنا کے بعض شاگردوں اور ایک یہودی کے درمیان طہارت کے بارے میں بحث چھڑ گئی۔

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 اور وہ یوحنا کے پاس آئے اور اُس سے کہا، ”اے رَبّی، جو شخص یردن کے پار آپ کے ساتھ تھا، جس کی آپ نے گواہی دی تھی—دیکھیں، وہ بپتسمہ دے رہا ہے، اور سب لوگ اُس کے پاس جا رہے ہیں۔“

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 یوحنا نے جواب دیا، ”کوئی شخص ایک چیز بھی حاصل نہیں کر سکتا جب تک وہ اُسے آسمان سے نہ دی جائے۔“

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 تم خود گواہی دے سکتے ہو کہ میں نے کہا، ’میں مسیح نہیں ہوں، بلکہ مجھے اُس سے پہلے بھیجا گیا ہے۔‘

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 جس کے پاس دلہن ہے وہی دولہا ہے—یسوع۔ دولہے کا دوست، جو کھڑا ہو کر اُس کی سنتا ہے، دولہے کی آواز سے نہایت خوش ہوتا ہے۔ پس میری یہ خوشی اب پوری ہو چکی ہے۔

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 ضرور ہے کہ وہ بڑھے، اور میں گھٹوں۔

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 جو اوپر سے آتا ہے وہ سب سے اوپر ہے۔ جو زمین سے ہے وہ زمین کا ہے اور زمینی طور پر بات کرتا ہے۔ جو آسمان سے آتا ہے وہ سب سے اوپر ہے۔

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 وہ اُسی کی گواہی دیتا ہے جو اُس نے دیکھا اور سنا ہے، پھر بھی کوئی اُس کی گواہی قبول نہیں کرتا۔

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 جو اُس کی گواہی قبول کرتا ہے وہ اِس بات کی تصدیق کرتا ہے کہ ہمارا باپ سچا ہے۔

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 کیونکہ جسے ہمارے باپ نے بھیجا ہے وہ ہمارے باپ کی باتیں کہتا ہے، کیونکہ وہ روحُ القُدس بے انتہا عطا کرتا ہے۔

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 ہمارا باپ بیٹے سے محبت رکھتا ہے اور اُس نے سب کچھ اُس کے ہاتھ میں دے دیا ہے۔

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 جو بیٹے پر ایمان لاتا ہے اُس کے پاس ہمیشہ کی زندگی ہے؛ جو بیٹے کی فرمانبرداری نہیں کرتا وہ زندگی کو نہ دیکھے گا، بلکہ ہمارے باپ کا غضب اُس پر قائم رہتا ہے۔

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 ਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ।

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 ਤਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ,” ਅਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 ਉਹ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਚਾਨਣ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ।

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਬਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਜੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰੇ।”

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 ਸੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਅੰਬਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਰ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ “ਭੋਂ” ਆਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੇ “ਸਮੁੰਦਰ” ਆਖਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਭੋਂ ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਉਗਾਵੇ: ਬੀਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੂਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜ ਹੋਵੇ, ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।” ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 ਭੋਂ ਨੇ ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਉਗਾਈ: ਬੀਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੂਟੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ: ਵੱਡੀ ਜੋਤ ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟੀ ਜੋਤ ਜੋ ਰਾਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇ। ਉਹ ਨੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਏ।

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 ਤਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਣੀ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅੰਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਣ।”

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਭੋਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਵ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੇ: ਡੰਗਰ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ, ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।” ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 ਉਹ ਨੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਡੰਗਰ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਣਾਏ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 ਤਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਓ ਆਪਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਣਾਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਡੰਗਰ ਉੱਤੇ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਵ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ।”

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਬੀਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੂਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜ ਹੈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਰਿਓਂ ਨਾ ਜੰਮੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ।”

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 ਨਿਕੁਦੇਮੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਮ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜੰਮ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?”

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਜੰਮੇ, ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੜ ਸਕਦਾ।”

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 ਜੋ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ।

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 ਹੈਰਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਰਿਓਂ ਜੰਮਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।’

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 ਪੌਣ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉੱਧਰ ਵਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੈ।

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 ਨਿਕੁਦੇਮੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ?”

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋਗੇ?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਵਰਗੋਂ ਉੱਤਰਿਆ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਕੋਈ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ।

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਾਵੇ।

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਨਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕਲੌਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਾਵੇ।

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 ਜੋ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਇਕਲੌਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਚਾਨਣ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਬੁਰੇ ਸਨ।

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੋ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਇਸ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੰਗੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ।

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 ਪਰ ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚਾਨਣ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਸਾਲੇਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਐਨੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਆ ਕੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਅਜੇ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 ਹੁਣ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਛਿੜ ਪਈ।

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰੱਬੀ, ਜੋ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ—ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।”

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇੱਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗੋਂ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।’

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਾੜੀ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਲਾੜਾ ਹੈ—ਯਿਸੂ। ਲਾੜੇ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਧਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਘਟਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 ਜੋ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਸਵਰਗੋਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ।

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮਿਣਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 ਜੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
