The Bible in India

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 আদিতে আমাদের স্বর্গীয় পিতা আকাশমণ্ডল ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করলেন।

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 আর পৃথিবী ছিল আকারহীন ও শূন্য, গভীর জলরাশির উপরে অন্ধকার ছিল, এবং আমাদের পিতার আত্মা জলরাশির উপরে ভাসছিলেন।

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 তখন আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “আলো হোক,” আর আলো হল।

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 তিনি দেখলেন যে আলো উত্তম, আর তিনি আলোকে অন্ধকার থেকে পৃথক করলেন।

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 তিনি আলোকে “দিন” এবং অন্ধকারকে “রাত” নাম দিলেন। আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—প্রথম দিন।

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 আর আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “জলরাশির মধ্যে এক বিস্তার হোক, যেন তা জল থেকে জলকে পৃথক করে।”

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 তাই তিনি সেই বিস্তার তৈরি করলেন এবং বিস্তারের নিচের জলকে তার উপরের জল থেকে পৃথক করলেন। আর তাই হল।

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 তিনি সেই বিস্তারকে “আকাশ” নাম দিলেন। আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—দ্বিতীয় দিন।

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 তখন আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “আকাশের নিচের জল এক জায়গায় একত্র হোক, আর শুকনো ভূমি প্রকাশ পাক।” আর তাই হল।

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 তিনি শুকনো ভূমিকে “স্থল” এবং একত্রিত জলরাশিকে “সমুদ্র” নাম দিলেন। আর তিনি দেখলেন যে তা উত্তম।

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 তখন তিনি বললেন, “স্থল তৃণলতা উৎপন্ন করুক: বীজবিশিষ্ট গাছপালা এবং বীজবিশিষ্ট ফল ধরে এমন বৃক্ষ, প্রত্যেকটি তার নিজ জাতি অনুসারে।” আর তাই হল।

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 স্থল তৃণলতা উৎপন্ন করল: নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে বীজবিশিষ্ট গাছপালা এবং নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে বীজবিশিষ্ট ফল ধরে এমন বৃক্ষ। আর আমাদের পিতা দেখলেন যে তা উত্তম।

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—তৃতীয় দিন।

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 আর আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “আকাশের বিস্তারে জ্যোতি হোক, যেন তা দিনকে রাত থেকে পৃথক করে, এবং ঋতু, দিন ও বৎসর নির্ধারণের চিহ্নরূপে কাজ করে,”

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 “আর সেগুলি আকাশের বিস্তারে জ্যোতিরূপে থাকুক, যেন পৃথিবীতে আলো দেয়।” আর তাই হল।

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 আমাদের পিতা দুটি মহাজ্যোতি তৈরি করলেন: দিনের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করার জন্য বৃহত্তর জ্যোতি এবং রাতের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করার জন্য ক্ষুদ্রতর জ্যোতি। তিনি তারকামণ্ডলও তৈরি করলেন।

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 তিনি সেগুলিকে আকাশের বিস্তারে স্থাপন করলেন, যেন পৃথিবীতে আলো দেয়,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 যেন দিন ও রাতের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করে এবং আলোকে অন্ধকার থেকে পৃথক করে। আর তিনি দেখলেন যে তা উত্তম।

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—চতুর্থ দিন।

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 তখন আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “জল প্রাণবন্ত জীবে পরিপূর্ণ হোক, আর পাখিরা আকাশের বিস্তার জুড়ে পৃথিবীর উপরে উড়ুক।”

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 তাই তিনি বৃহৎ সামুদ্রিক জীব এবং জলে চলমান ও পরিপূর্ণ প্রত্যেক জীবন্ত প্রাণী, প্রত্যেকটি তার নিজ জাতি অনুসারে, এবং প্রত্যেক পক্ষবিশিষ্ট পাখি তার নিজ জাতি অনুসারে সৃষ্টি করলেন। আর তিনি দেখলেন যে তা উত্তম।

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 আমাদের পিতা তাদের আশীর্বাদ করে বললেন, “বহুপ্রজ ও বংশবৃদ্ধি কর এবং সমুদ্রের জল পরিপূর্ণ কর, আর পাখিরা পৃথিবীতে বংশবৃদ্ধি করুক।”

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—পঞ্চম দিন।

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 আর আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “স্থল নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে জীবন্ত প্রাণী উৎপন্ন করুক: গৃহপালিত পশু, মাটিতে বুকে হেঁটে চলা প্রাণী এবং বন্য পশু, প্রত্যেকটি তার নিজ জাতি অনুসারে।” আর তাই হল।

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 তিনি নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে বন্য পশু, নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে গৃহপালিত পশু এবং নিজ নিজ জাতি অনুসারে মাটিতে বুকে হেঁটে চলা সমস্ত প্রাণী তৈরি করলেন। আর তিনি দেখলেন যে তা উত্তম।

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 তখন আমাদের পিতা বললেন, “আমরা আমাদের প্রতিমূর্তিতে, আমাদের সাদৃশ্যে মানবজাতিকে সৃষ্টি করি, যেন তারা সমুদ্রের মাছের উপর, আকাশের পাখির উপর, গৃহপালিত পশুর উপর, সমস্ত পৃথিবীর উপর এবং মাটিতে বুকে হেঁটে চলা প্রত্যেক প্রাণীর উপর কর্তৃত্ব করে।”

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 তাই আমাদের পিতা মানবজাতিকে নিজেদের প্রতিমূর্তিতে সৃষ্টি করলেন; পিতা, পুত্র ও পবিত্র আত্মার প্রতিমূর্তিতে তিনি তাদের সৃষ্টি করলেন; পুরুষ ও নারী করে তিনি তাদের সৃষ্টি করলেন।

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 আমাদের পিতা তাদের আশীর্বাদ করে বললেন, “বহুপ্রজ ও বংশবৃদ্ধি কর; পৃথিবী পরিপূর্ণ কর ও তা বশীভূত কর। সমুদ্রের মাছের উপর, আকাশের পাখির উপর এবং মাটিতে চলমান প্রত্যেক জীবন্ত প্রাণীর উপর কর্তৃত্ব কর।”

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 তখন তিনি বললেন, “আমি সমস্ত পৃথিবীর উপরিভাগে থাকা প্রত্যেক বীজবিশিষ্ট গাছপালা এবং বীজবিশিষ্ট ফল ধরে এমন প্রত্যেক বৃক্ষ তোমাদের দিচ্ছি। সেগুলি খাদ্যরূপে তোমাদের হবে।

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 “আর পৃথিবীর সমস্ত পশু, আকাশের সমস্ত পাখি এবং মাটিতে বুকে হেঁটে চলা সমস্ত প্রাণী—যাদের মধ্যে জীবনের নিঃশ্বাস আছে এমন প্রত্যেকের জন্য—আমি প্রত্যেক সবুজ গাছপালা খাদ্যরূপে দিচ্ছি।” আর তাই হল।

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 আমাদের পিতা তাঁর তৈরি করা সমস্ত কিছু দেখলেন, আর তা অতি উত্তম ছিল। আর সন্ধ্যা হল, আর সকাল হল—ষষ্ঠ দিন।

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 ফরীশীদের মধ্যে নীকদীম নামে একজন লোক ছিলেন, যিনি যিহূদীদের একজন নেতা।

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 এই লোকটি রাতের বেলা যীশুর কাছে এসে তাঁকে বললেন, “রব্বি, আমরা জানি যে আপনি আমাদের পিতার কাছ থেকে আসা একজন গুরু, কারণ আমাদের পিতা যাঁর সঙ্গে না থাকেন, তিনি ছাড়া আর কেউই আপনার করা এই চিহ্নকার্যগুলি করতে পারে না।”

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 যীশু তাঁকে উত্তরে বললেন, “সত্য, সত্য, আমি তোমাকে বলছি, কেউ নতুন করে জন্ম না নিলে সে আমাদের পিতার রাজ্য দেখতে পায় না।”

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 নীকদীম তাঁকে বললেন, “মানুষ বৃদ্ধ হলে কেমন করে জন্ম নিতে পারে? সে কি দ্বিতীয়বার তার মায়ের গর্ভে প্রবেশ করে জন্ম নিতে পারে?”

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 যীশু উত্তর দিলেন, “সত্য, সত্য, আমি তোমাকে বলছি, কেউ জল ও পবিত্র আত্মা থেকে জন্ম না নিলে সে আমাদের পিতার রাজ্যে প্রবেশ করতে পারে না।”

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 মাংস থেকে যা জন্মে তা মাংস, আর পবিত্র আত্মা থেকে যা জন্মে তা আত্মা।

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 ‘তোমাদের নতুন করে জন্ম নিতে হবে,’ এই কথা আমি তোমাকে বললাম বলে আশ্চর্য হোয়ো না।

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 বাতাস যেখানে ইচ্ছা সেখানেই বয়, আর তুমি তার শব্দ শোন, কিন্তু তা কোথা থেকে আসে বা কোথায় যায় তা তুমি জান না। পবিত্র আত্মা থেকে জন্ম নেওয়া প্রত্যেকের ক্ষেত্রেও তেমনই হয়।

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 নীকদীম তাঁকে বললেন, “এসব কেমন করে হতে পারে?”

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 যীশু তাঁকে উত্তর দিলেন, “তুমি ইস্রায়েলের গুরু হয়েও এসব বুঝতে পার না?

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 সত্য, সত্য, আমি তোমাকে বলছি, আমরা যা জানি তা-ই বলি, আর যা দেখেছি তারই সাক্ষ্য দিই, কিন্তু তোমরা আমাদের সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ কর না।

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 আমি তোমাদের পার্থিব বিষয়ের কথা বললে যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাস না কর, তবে স্বর্গীয় বিষয়ের কথা বললে কেমন করে বিশ্বাস করবে?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 যিনি স্বর্গ থেকে নেমে এসেছেন, সেই মনুষ্যপুত্র ছাড়া আর কেউ স্বর্গে ওঠেনি।

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 আর মোশি যেমন প্রান্তরে সাপটিকে উঁচুতে তুলেছিলেন, তেমনই মনুষ্যপুত্রকেও উঁচুতে তোলা আবশ্যক,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 যেন যে কেউ তাঁতে বিশ্বাস করে সে অনন্ত জীবন পায়।

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 কারণ আমাদের পিতা জগৎকে এতই ভালোবাসলেন যে, তিনি তাঁর একমাত্র পুত্রকে দান করলেন, যেন যে কেউ তাঁতে বিশ্বাস করে সে বিনষ্ট না হয়, কিন্তু অনন্ত জীবন পায়।

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 কারণ আমাদের পিতা জগৎকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করার জন্য তাঁর পুত্রকে জগতে পাঠাননি, কিন্তু যেন তাঁর মাধ্যমে জগৎ পরিত্রাণ পায়।

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 যে তাঁতে বিশ্বাস করে সে দোষী সাব্যস্ত হয় না, কিন্তু যে বিশ্বাস করে না সে ইতিমধ্যেই দোষী সাব্যস্ত হয়েছে, কারণ সে আমাদের পিতার একমাত্র পুত্রের নামে বিশ্বাস করেনি।

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 আর বিচার এই: আলো জগতে এসেছে, কিন্তু মানুষ আলোর চেয়ে বরং অন্ধকারকে ভালোবাসল, কারণ তাদের কাজগুলি মন্দ ছিল।

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 কারণ যে কেউ মন্দ কাজ করে সে আলোকে ঘৃণা করে এবং আলোর কাছে আসে না, পাছে তার কাজগুলি প্রকাশ পেয়ে যায়।

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 কিন্তু যে সত্য কাজ করে সে আলোর কাছে আসে, যেন স্পষ্টভাবে দেখা যায় যে তার কাজগুলি আমাদের পিতাতে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 এরপর যীশু ও তাঁর শিষ্যরা যিহূদিয়া অঞ্চলে গেলেন, আর সেখানে তিনি তাদের সঙ্গে থেকে বাপ্তিস্ম দিচ্ছিলেন।

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 যোহনও শালীমের কাছে ঐনোনে বাপ্তিস্ম দিচ্ছিলেন, কারণ সেখানে প্রচুর জল ছিল, আর লোকেরা এসে বাপ্তিস্ম নিচ্ছিল,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 কারণ যোহনকে তখনও কারাগারে দেওয়া হয়নি।

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 তখন যোহনের কয়েকজন শিষ্য ও একজন যিহূদীর মধ্যে শুচিকরণ নিয়ে এক আলোচনা উঠল।

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 আর তারা যোহনের কাছে এসে তাঁকে বলল, “রব্বি, যিনি যর্দনের ওপারে আপনার সঙ্গে ছিলেন, যাঁর বিষয়ে আপনি সাক্ষ্য দিয়েছিলেন—দেখুন, তিনি বাপ্তিস্ম দিচ্ছেন, আর সকলেই তাঁর কাছে যাচ্ছে।”

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 যোহন উত্তরে বললেন, “স্বর্গ থেকে দেওয়া না হলে মানুষ একটি জিনিসও পেতে পারে না।

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 তোমরা নিজেরাই সাক্ষ্য দিতে পার যে আমি বলেছিলাম, ‘আমি খ্রীষ্ট নই, কিন্তু আমাকে তাঁর আগে পাঠানো হয়েছে।’

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 যাঁর কাছে কনে আছে তিনিই বর—যীশু। বরের বন্ধু, যে দাঁড়িয়ে তাঁর কথা শোনে, সে বরের কণ্ঠস্বরে মহা আনন্দিত হয়। তাই আমার এই আনন্দ এখন পরিপূর্ণ হয়েছে।

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 তাঁকে অবশ্যই বৃদ্ধি পেতে হবে, কিন্তু আমাকে অবশ্যই হ্রাস পেতে হবে।

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 যিনি ঊর্ধ্ব থেকে আসেন তিনি সকলের ঊর্ধ্বে। যে পৃথিবীর সে পৃথিবীরই, আর সে পার্থিব ভাবে কথা বলে। যিনি স্বর্গ থেকে আসেন তিনি সকলের ঊর্ধ্বে।

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 তিনি যা দেখেছেন ও শুনেছেন তারই সাক্ষ্য দেন, তবুও কেউ তাঁর সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ করে না।

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 যে তাঁর সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ করে সে এই সত্যকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে যে আমাদের পিতা সত্যময়।

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 কারণ আমাদের পিতা যাঁকে পাঠিয়েছেন তিনি আমাদের পিতার বাক্য বলেন, কারণ তিনি অপরিমিতভাবে পবিত্র আত্মা দান করেন।

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 আমাদের পিতা পুত্রকে ভালোবাসেন এবং সমস্ত কিছু তাঁর হাতে সমর্পণ করেছেন।

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 যে পুত্রে বিশ্বাস করে সে অনন্ত জীবন পেয়েছে; কিন্তু যে পুত্রের আজ্ঞা মানে না সে জীবন দেখতে পাবে না, বরং আমাদের পিতার ক্রোধ তার উপরে অবস্থিত থাকে।

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 તેમણે જોયું કે પ્રકાશ સારો છે, અને તેમણે પ્રકાશને અંધકારથી જુદો કર્યો.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 પછી આપણા પિતાએ કહ્યું, “આકાશ નીચેનું પાણી એક જગ્યાએ ભેગું થાય, અને કોરી જમીન દેખાય.” અને એમ જ થયું.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 ભૂમિએ વનસ્પતિ ઉગાડી: પોતપોતાની જાત પ્રમાણે બીજવાળા છોડ અને પોતપોતાની જાત પ્રમાણે બીજવાળું ફળ આપનારાં વૃક્ષો. અને આપણા પિતાએ જોયું કે તે સારું છે.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 અને સાંજ થઈ, અને સવાર થઈ—ત્રીજો દિવસ.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 અને આપણા પિતાએ કહ્યું, “આકાશના અંતરિક્ષમાં જ્યોતિઓ થાય જે દિવસને રાતથી જુદો પાડે, અને તેઓ ઋતુઓ, દિવસો અને વર્ષોને ચિહ્નિત કરવા માટે ચિહ્નો તરીકે કામ આપે,”

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 “અને તેઓ આકાશના અંતરિક્ષમાં જ્યોતિઓ થઈને પૃથ્વી પર પ્રકાશ આપે.” અને એમ જ થયું.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 આપણા પિતાએ બે મોટી જ્યોતિઓ બનાવી: દિવસ પર અધિકાર ચલાવવા માટે મોટી જ્યોતિ અને રાત પર અધિકાર ચલાવવા માટે નાની જ્યોતિ. તેમણે તારાઓ પણ બનાવ્યા.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 પૃથ્વી પર પ્રકાશ આપવા માટે તેમણે તેઓને આકાશના અંતરિક્ષમાં ગોઠવ્યાં,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 જેથી તેઓ દિવસ અને રાત પર અધિકાર ચલાવે, અને પ્રકાશને અંધકારથી જુદો કરે. અને તેમણે જોયું કે તે સારું છે.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 પછી આપણા પિતાએ કહ્યું, “પાણી જીવજંતુઓથી ઊભરાય, અને પક્ષીઓ આકાશના અંતરિક્ષમાં પૃથ્વી ઉપર ઊડે.”

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 તેથી તેમણે મોટાં દરિયાઈ પ્રાણીઓ અને પાણીમાં હાલતાચાલતાં તથા ઊભરાતાં દરેક જીવજંતુને, દરેક પોતપોતાની જાત પ્રમાણે, અને દરેક પાંખવાળા પક્ષીને તેની જાત પ્રમાણે ઉત્પન્ન કર્યાં. અને તેમણે જોયું કે તે સારું છે.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 આપણા પિતાએ તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો અને કહ્યું, “સફળ થાઓ અને વધો અને સમુદ્રોમાંનું પાણી ભરી દો, અને પક્ષીઓ પૃથ્વી પર વધે.”

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 અને સાંજ થઈ, અને સવાર થઈ—પાંચમો દિવસ.

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 અને આપણા પિતાએ કહ્યું, “ભૂમિ પોતપોતાની જાત પ્રમાણે જીવજંતુઓ ઉત્પન્ન કરે: પાલતુ પશુઓ, જમીન પર સરકતાં પ્રાણીઓ, અને જંગલી પ્રાણીઓ, દરેક પોતપોતાની જાત પ્રમાણે.” અને એમ જ થયું.

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 તેમણે જંગલી પ્રાણીઓને તેઓની જાત પ્રમાણે, પાલતુ પશુઓને તેઓની જાત પ્રમાણે, અને જમીન પર સરકતાં સર્વ પ્રાણીઓને તેઓની જાત પ્રમાણે બનાવ્યાં. અને તેમણે જોયું કે તે સારું છે.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 તેથી આપણા પિતાએ માણસજાતને પોતાના સ્વરૂપમાં ઉત્પન્ન કરી; પિતા, પુત્ર, અને પવિત્ર આત્માના સ્વરૂપમાં તેમણે તેઓને ઉત્પન્ન કર્યાં; નર અને નારી તરીકે તેમણે તેઓને ઉત્પન્ન કર્યાં.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 આપણા પિતાએ તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો અને તેઓને કહ્યું, “સફળ થાઓ અને વધો; પૃથ્વીને ભરી દો અને તેને વશ કરો. સમુદ્રની માછલીઓ અને આકાશનાં પક્ષીઓ પર, અને જમીન પર હાલતા દરેક જીવજંતુ પર અધિકાર ચલાવો.”

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 આપણા પિતાએ પોતે જે કંઈ બનાવ્યું હતું તે સર્વ જોયું, અને તે ઘણું જ સારું હતું. તેથી સાંજ થઈ, અને સવાર થઈ—છઠ્ઠો દિવસ.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 હવે ફરોશીઓમાંનો નિકોદેમસ નામે એક માણસ હતો, જે યહૂદીઓનો અધિકારી હતો.

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 આ માણસ રાત્રે ઈસુ પાસે આવ્યો અને તેમને કહ્યું, “રાબ્બી, અમે જાણીએ છીએ કે તમે આપણા પિતા તરફથી આવેલા ઉપદેશક છો, કેમ કે જે ચમત્કારો તમે કરો છો તે, જો આપણા પિતા તેની સાથે ન હોય તો, કોઈ કરી શકે નહિ.”

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 ઈસુએ તેને જવાબમાં કહ્યું, “હું તને સાચે સાચ કહું છું, જ્યાં સુધી કોઈ નવેસરથી જન્મ ન પામે, ત્યાં સુધી તે આપણા પિતાનું રાજ્ય જોઈ શકતો નથી.”

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 નિકોદેમસે તેમને કહ્યું, “માણસ વૃદ્ધ થયા પછી તે કેવી રીતે જન્મ પામી શકે? શું તે બીજી વાર પોતાની માતાના ગર્ભમાં પ્રવેશીને જન્મ પામી શકે?”

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “હું તને સાચે સાચ કહું છું, જ્યાં સુધી કોઈ પાણી અને પવિત્ર આત્માથી જન્મ ન પામે, ત્યાં સુધી તે આપણા પિતાના રાજ્યમાં પ્રવેશી શકતો નથી.

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 જે દેહથી જન્મેલું છે તે દેહ છે, અને જે પવિત્ર આત્માથી જન્મેલું છે તે આત્મા છે.

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 ‘તમારે નવેસરથી જન્મ પામવો જ જોઈએ,’ એમ મેં તને કહ્યું તેથી તું આશ્ચર્ય ન પામ.

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 પવન જ્યાં ચાહે છે ત્યાં વાય છે, અને તું તેનો અવાજ સાંભળે છે, પણ તે ક્યાંથી આવે છે અને ક્યાં જાય છે તે તું જાણતો નથી. પવિત્ર આત્માથી જન્મેલા દરેકનું એમ જ છે.

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 નિકોદેમસે તેમને કહ્યું, “આ બધું કેવી રીતે બની શકે?”

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 ઈસુએ તેને ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “શું તું ઇઝરાયલનો ઉપદેશક છે અને છતાં આ બધું સમજતો નથી?

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 હું તને સાચે સાચ કહું છું, જે અમે જાણીએ છીએ તે અમે કહીએ છીએ, અને જે અમે જોયું છે તેની સાક્ષી આપીએ છીએ, પણ તમે અમારી સાક્ષી સ્વીકારતા નથી.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 જો મેં તમને પૃથ્વી પરની વાતો કહી અને તમે વિશ્વાસ કરતા નથી, તો જો હું તમને સ્વર્ગની વાતો કહું તો તમે કેવી રીતે વિશ્વાસ કરશો?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 જે સ્વર્ગમાંથી ઊતર્યો, એટલે કે માણસનો દીકરો, તેના સિવાય કોઈ સ્વર્ગમાં ચઢ્યું નથી.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 અને જેમ મૂસાએ અરણ્યમાં સાપને ઊંચો કર્યો, તેમ માણસના દીકરાને પણ ઊંચો કરવો જ જોઈએ,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 જેથી જે કોઈ તેના પર વિશ્વાસ કરે તેને અનંતજીવન મળે.

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 કેમ કે આપણા પિતાએ જગત પર એટલો બધો પ્રેમ કર્યો કે તેમણે પોતાનો એકનો એક દીકરો આપ્યો, જેથી જે કોઈ તેના પર વિશ્વાસ કરે તેનો નાશ ન થાય પણ તેને અનંતજીવન મળે.

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 કેમ કે આપણા પિતાએ પોતાના દીકરાને જગતમાં જગતનો ન્યાય કરવા માટે મોકલ્યો નહોતો, પણ એ માટે કે તેના દ્વારા જગતનો ઉદ્ધાર થાય.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 જે કોઈ તેના પર વિશ્વાસ કરે છે તેનો ન્યાય થયો નથી, પણ જે વિશ્વાસ કરતો નથી તેનો ન્યાય તો અગાઉથી જ થઈ ચૂક્યો છે, કેમ કે તેણે આપણા પિતાના એકના એક દીકરાના નામ પર વિશ્વાસ કર્યો નથી.

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 અને ન્યાય આ છે: પ્રકાશ જગતમાં આવ્યો, અને લોકોએ પ્રકાશને બદલે અંધકારને ચાહ્યો, કેમ કે તેઓનાં કામ ભૂંડાં હતાં.

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 પણ જે કોઈ સત્ય આચરે છે તે પ્રકાશ પાસે આવે છે, જેથી સ્પષ્ટ દેખાય કે તેનાં કામ આપણા પિતામાં કરવામાં આવ્યાં છે.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 યોહાન પણ સાલીમ પાસેના ઐનોનમાં બાપ્તિસ્મા આપતો હતો, કેમ કે ત્યાં પુષ્કળ પાણી હતું, અને લોકો આવીને બાપ્તિસ્મા પામતા હતા,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 કેમ કે યોહાનને હજુ બંદીખાનામાં નાખવામાં આવ્યો નહોતો.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 હવે યોહાનના કેટલાક શિષ્યો અને એક યહૂદી વચ્ચે શુદ્ધિકરણ વિશે વાદવિવાદ ઊભો થયો.

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 યોહાને જવાબમાં કહ્યું, “જ્યાં સુધી સ્વર્ગમાંથી માણસને ન અપાય, ત્યાં સુધી તે એક પણ વસ્તુ પામી શકતો નથી.

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 ‘હું ખ્રિસ્ત નથી, પણ મને તેની આગળ મોકલવામાં આવ્યો છે,’ એમ મેં કહ્યું તેની તમે પોતે સાક્ષી આપી શકો છો.

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 જેની પાસે કન્યા છે તે વર છે—ઈસુ. વરનો મિત્ર, જે ઊભો રહીને તેને સાંભળે છે, તે વરના અવાજથી ઘણો આનંદ પામે છે. માટે મારો આ આનંદ હવે સંપૂર્ણ થયો છે.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 તે વધવા જ જોઈએ, પણ મારે ઘટવું જ જોઈએ.

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 જે ઉપરથી આવે છે તે સહુથી ઉપર છે. જે પૃથ્વીનો છે તે પૃથ્વીનો છે અને પૃથ્વી પ્રમાણે બોલે છે. જે સ્વર્ગમાંથી આવે છે તે સહુથી ઉપર છે.

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 કેમ કે જેને આપણા પિતાએ મોકલ્યો છે તે આપણા પિતાનાં વચન બોલે છે, કેમ કે તે પવિત્ર આત્માને માપ વગર આપે છે.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 આપણા પિતા દીકરા પર પ્રેમ કરે છે અને તેમણે સર્વ વસ્તુઓ તેના હાથમાં સોંપી છે.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 જે કોઈ દીકરા પર વિશ્વાસ કરે છે તેને અનંતજીવન છે; જે કોઈ દીકરાનું માનતો નથી તે જીવન જોશે નહિ, પણ આપણા પિતાનો કોપ તેના પર રહે છે.

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 पृथ्वी बेडौल और सुनसान थी, और गहरे जल के ऊपर अंधकार छाया हुआ था; और हमारे पिता का आत्मा जल के ऊपर मँडरा रहा था।

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 तब सांझ हुई, फिर भोर हुआ—चौथा दिन।

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 तब हमारे पिता ने कहा, "जल जीवित प्राणियों से भर जाए, और पक्षी पृथ्वी के ऊपर आकाश के अंतर में उड़ें।"

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 इसलिए उन्होंने बड़े-बड़े जलजन्तुओं को, और हर एक जीवित प्राणी को जो जल में चलता और भरा रहता है, हर एक को उसकी जाति के अनुसार, और हर पंखवाले पक्षी को उसकी जाति के अनुसार सृजा। और उन्होंने देखा कि यह अच्छा है।

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 हमारे पिता ने उन्हें आशीष दी और कहा, "फूलो-फलो और बढ़ो और समुद्रों के जल को भर दो, और पक्षी पृथ्वी पर बढ़ें।"

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 और सांझ हुई, फिर भोर हुआ—पाँचवाँ दिन।

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 और हमारे पिता ने कहा, "धरती जीवित प्राणियों को उनकी-उनकी जाति के अनुसार उत्पन्न करे: घरेलू पशु, भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले प्राणी, और जंगली पशु, हर एक अपनी-अपनी जाति के अनुसार।" और ऐसा ही हो गया।

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 उन्होंने जंगली पशुओं को उनकी जातियों के अनुसार, घरेलू पशुओं को उनकी जातियों के अनुसार, और भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले सब प्राणियों को उनकी जातियों के अनुसार बनाया। और उन्होंने देखा कि यह अच्छा है।

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 तब हमारे पिता ने कहा, "हम मनुष्य को अपने स्वरूप में, अपनी समानता में बनाएँ, ताकि वे समुद्र की मछलियों और आकाश के पक्षियों पर, घरेलू पशुओं पर, सारी पृथ्वी पर, और भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले हर प्राणी पर अधिकार रखें।"

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 इसलिए हमारे पिता ने मनुष्य को अपने ही स्वरूप में सृजा; पिता, पुत्र और पवित्र आत्मा के स्वरूप में उन्होंने उन्हें सृजा; नर और नारी करके उन्होंने उन्हें सृजा।

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 हमारे पिता ने उन्हें आशीष दी और उनसे कहा, "फूलो-फलो और बढ़ो; पृथ्वी को भर दो और उसे अपने वश में करो। समुद्र की मछलियों और आकाश के पक्षियों पर, और भूमि पर चलनेवाले हर जीवित प्राणी पर अधिकार रखो।"

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 तब उन्होंने कहा, "मैं तुम्हें सारी पृथ्वी की सतह पर का हर बीज देनेवाला पौधा और हर वृक्ष जो बीजवाला फल लाता है, देता हूँ। वे भोजन के लिए तुम्हारे होंगे।

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 "और पृथ्वी के सब पशुओं को, आकाश के सब पक्षियों को, और भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले सब प्राणियों को—हर उसको जिसमें जीवन का श्वास है—मैं हर हरा पौधा भोजन के लिए देता हूँ।" और ऐसा ही हो गया।

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 हमारे पिता ने जो कुछ बनाया था, उस सब को देखा, और वह बहुत ही अच्छा था। तब सांझ हुई, फिर भोर हुआ—छठा दिन।

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 अब फरीसियों में से नीकुदेमुस नामक एक मनुष्य था, जो यहूदियों का एक प्रधान था।

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 यह रात के समय यीशु के पास आया और उनसे कहा, "रब्बी, हम जानते हैं कि आप एक ऐसे गुरु हैं जो हमारे पिता की ओर से आए हैं, क्योंकि जो चिन्ह आप दिखाते हैं, उन्हें कोई नहीं दिखा सकता जब तक हमारे पिता उसके साथ न हों।"

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 यीशु ने उसे उत्तर दिया, "मैं तुझ से सच-सच कहता हूँ, जब तक कोई नये सिरे से न जन्मे, वह हमारे पिता के राज्य को देख नहीं सकता।"

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 नीकुदेमुस ने उनसे कहा, "मनुष्य जब बूढ़ा हो गया हो, तो वह कैसे जन्म ले सकता है? क्या वह दूसरी बार अपनी माता के गर्भ में प्रवेश करके जन्म ले सकता है?"

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, "मैं तुझ से सच-सच कहता हूँ, जब तक कोई जल और पवित्र आत्मा से न जन्मे, वह हमारे पिता के राज्य में प्रवेश नहीं कर सकता।"

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 जो शरीर से जन्मा है, वह शरीर है, और जो पवित्र आत्मा से जन्मा है, वह आत्मा है।

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 अचम्भा मत करो कि मैंने तुझ से कहा, 'तुम्हें नये सिरे से जन्म लेना अवश्य है।'

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 वायु जिधर चाहती है उधर बहती है, और तू उसका शब्द सुनता है, परन्तु नहीं जानता कि वह कहाँ से आती और कहाँ को जाती है। हर एक के साथ ऐसा ही है जो पवित्र आत्मा से जन्मा है।

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 नीकुदेमुस ने उनसे कहा, "ये बातें कैसे हो सकती हैं?"

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 यीशु ने उसे उत्तर दिया, "तू इस्राएल का गुरु होकर भी इन बातों को नहीं समझता?"

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 मैं तुझ से सच-सच कहता हूँ, हम जो जानते हैं वही कहते हैं, और जो हमने देखा है उसी की गवाही देते हैं, परन्तु तुम लोग हमारी गवाही ग्रहण नहीं करते।

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 जब मैंने तुम से पृथ्वी की बातें कहीं और तुमने विश्वास नहीं किया, तो यदि मैं तुम से स्वर्ग की बातें कहूँ तो तुम कैसे विश्वास करोगे?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 कोई स्वर्ग पर नहीं चढ़ा, केवल वही जो स्वर्ग से उतरा, अर्थात् मनुष्य का पुत्र।

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 और जैसे मूसा ने जंगल में साँप को ऊँचे पर चढ़ाया, वैसे ही मनुष्य के पुत्र को भी ऊँचे पर चढ़ाया जाना अवश्य है,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 ताकि जो कोई उस पर विश्वास करे, अनन्त जीवन पाए।

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 क्योंकि हमारे पिता ने जगत से इतना प्रेम किया कि उन्होंने अपना एकलौता पुत्र दे दिया, ताकि जो कोई उस पर विश्वास करे वह नाश न हो, परन्तु अनन्त जीवन पाए।

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 क्योंकि हमारे पिता ने अपने पुत्र को जगत में इसलिए नहीं भेजा कि वह जगत को दोषी ठहराए, परन्तु इसलिए कि जगत उसके द्वारा उद्धार पाए।

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 जो उस पर विश्वास करता है, वह दोषी नहीं ठहरता, परन्तु जो विश्वास नहीं करता, वह तो दोषी ठहर चुका है, क्योंकि उसने हमारे पिता के एकलौते पुत्र के नाम पर विश्वास नहीं किया।

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 और दण्ड की आज्ञा यह है: ज्योति जगत में आई है, और लोगों ने ज्योति से अधिक अंधकार से प्रेम किया, क्योंकि उनके काम बुरे थे।

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 क्योंकि जो कोई बुरे काम करता है, वह ज्योति से बैर रखता है और ज्योति के पास नहीं आता, ऐसा न हो कि उसके काम प्रगट हो जाएँ।

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 परन्तु जो सच्चाई पर चलता है, वह ज्योति के पास आता है, ताकि स्पष्ट रूप से देखा जाए कि उसके काम हमारे पिता में किए गए हैं।

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 इसके बाद यीशु और उनके चेले यहूदिया के देहात में गए, और वहाँ वे उनके साथ रहकर बपतिस्मा देते रहे।

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 अब यूहन्ना के कुछ चेलों और एक यहूदी के बीच शुद्धिकरण के विषय में विवाद उठा।

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 और वे यूहन्ना के पास आए और उससे कहा, "रब्बी, जो यरदन के पार आपके साथ था, जिसकी आपने गवाही दी थी—देखिए, वह बपतिस्मा देता है, और सब उसके पास जाते हैं।"

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 जिसकी दुल्हन है, वही दूल्हा है—यीशु। दूल्हे का मित्र, जो खड़ा होकर उसकी सुनता है, दूल्हे का शब्द सुनकर बहुत आनन्दित होता है। इसलिए अब मेरा यह आनन्द पूरा हो गया है।

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 अवश्य है कि वह बढ़े, और मैं घटूँ।

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 जो ऊपर से आता है, वह सबसे ऊपर है। जो पृथ्वी का है, वह पृथ्वी का है और पृथ्वी की बातें करता है। जो स्वर्ग से आता है, वह सबसे ऊपर है।

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 ஆதியிலே நம்முடைய பரலோகப் பிதா வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சிருஷ்டித்தார்.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 பூமியோ ஒழுங்கின்றியும் வெறுமையாயும் இருந்தது; ஆழத்தின் மேற்பரப்பின்மேல் இருள் சூழ்ந்திருந்தது; நம்முடைய பிதாவின் ஆவியானவர் தண்ணீர்களின் மேற்பரப்பின்மேல் அசைவாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 அப்பொழுது நம்முடைய பிதா, "வெளிச்சம் உண்டாகட்டும்" என்றார்; வெளிச்சம் உண்டாயிற்று.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 வெளிச்சம் நல்லதென்று அவர் கண்டார்; வெளிச்சத்தை இருளிலிருந்து அவர் பிரித்தார்.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 வெளிச்சத்திற்கு "பகல்" என்றும், இருளுக்கு "இரவு" என்றும் அவர் பெயரிட்டார். மாலையும் காலையும் உண்டாயின—முதலாம் நாள்.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 மேலும் நம்முடைய பிதா, "தண்ணீரைத் தண்ணீரிலிருந்து பிரிக்கும்படி தண்ணீர்களுக்கு நடுவே ஒரு விரிவு உண்டாகட்டும்" என்றார்.

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 அப்படியே அவர் அந்த விரிவை உண்டாக்கி, விரிவுக்குக் கீழே உள்ள தண்ணீரை அதற்கு மேலே உள்ள தண்ணீரிலிருந்து பிரித்தார். அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 அந்த விரிவுக்கு "வானம்" என்று அவர் பெயரிட்டார். ஆகவே மாலையும் காலையும் உண்டாயின—இரண்டாம் நாள்.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 அப்பொழுது நம்முடைய பிதா, "வானத்திற்குக் கீழே உள்ள தண்ணீர் ஒரே இடத்தில் சேரட்டும், காய்ந்த தரை காணப்படட்டும்" என்றார்; அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 காய்ந்த தரைக்கு "பூமி" என்றும், சேர்ந்த தண்ணீர்களுக்கு "கடல்கள்" என்றும் அவர் பெயரிட்டார். அது நல்லதென்று அவர் கண்டார்.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 பின்பு அவர், "பூமி பயிர்களை முளைப்பிக்கட்டும்: விதைதரும் தாவரங்களையும், விதையுள்ள கனிதரும் மரங்களையும், ஒவ்வொன்றும் தன்தன் வகையின்படி முளைப்பிக்கட்டும்" என்றார்; அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 பூமி பயிர்களை முளைப்பித்தது: விதைதரும் தாவரங்களை அவைகளின் வகைகளின்படியும், விதையுள்ள கனிதரும் மரங்களை அவைகளின் வகைகளின்படியும் முளைப்பித்தது. அது நல்லதென்று நம்முடைய பிதா கண்டார்.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 மாலையும் காலையும் உண்டாயின—மூன்றாம் நாள்.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 மேலும் நம்முடைய பிதா, "பகலை இரவிலிருந்து பிரிக்கும்படி வானத்தின் விரிவிலே ஒளிகள் உண்டாகட்டும்; அவைகள் காலங்களையும், நாட்களையும், வருடங்களையும் குறிக்கும் அடையாளங்களாய் இருக்கட்டும்;"

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 "பூமியின்மேல் வெளிச்சம் தரும்படி அவைகள் வானத்தின் விரிவிலே ஒளிகளாய் இருக்கட்டும்" என்றார். அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 நம்முடைய பிதா இரண்டு பெரிய ஒளிகளை உண்டாக்கினார்: பகலை ஆளும்படி பெரிய ஒளியையும், இரவை ஆளும்படி சிறிய ஒளியையும் உண்டாக்கினார். நட்சத்திரங்களையும் அவர் உண்டாக்கினார்.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 பூமியின்மேல் வெளிச்சம் தரும்படி அவைகளை வானத்தின் விரிவிலே அவர் வைத்தார்,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 அப்பொழுது நம்முடைய பிதா, "தண்ணீர் உயிருள்ள ஜீவன்களால் நிறையட்டும்; பறவைகள் பூமிக்கு மேலே வானத்தின் விரிவிலே பறக்கட்டும்" என்றார்.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 அப்படியே நம்முடைய பிதா மனுக்குலத்தைத் தமது சாயலாக சிருஷ்டித்தார்; பிதா, குமாரன், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் ஆகியவர்களின் சாயலாக அவர்களை சிருஷ்டித்தார்; ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாக அவர்களை சிருஷ்டித்தார்.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 இவன் இரவிலே இயேசுவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அவரை நோக்கி, "ரபீ, நீர் நம்முடைய பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து வந்த போதகர் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; ஏனெனில் நம்முடைய பிதா ஒருவருடன் இல்லாவிட்டால், நீர் செய்கிற இந்த அடையாளங்களை ஒருவனும் செய்யக்கூடாது" என்றான்.

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 இயேசு அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக, "மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், ஒருவன் மறுபடியும் பிறவாவிட்டால், அவன் நம்முடைய பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்தைக் காணமாட்டான்" என்றார்.

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக, "மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், ஒருவன் தண்ணீராலும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலும் பிறவாவிட்டால், அவன் நம்முடைய பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டான்" என்றார்.

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 மாம்சத்தினால் பிறந்தது மாம்சமாயிருக்கும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே பிறந்தது ஆவியாயிருக்கும்.

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 'நீங்கள் மறுபடியும் பிறக்கவேண்டும்' என்று நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னதற்காக ஆச்சரியப்படவேண்டாம்.

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 காற்று தனக்கு விருப்பமான இடத்தில் வீசுகிறது, அதின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறாய், ஆனால் அது எங்கிருந்து வருகிறது, எங்கே போகிறது என்று அறியாயிருக்கிறாய். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே பிறந்த ஒவ்வொருவனும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறான்.

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நாங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைப் பேசி, கண்டிருக்கிறதைச் சாட்சியாகச் சொல்லுகிறோம்; ஆனாலும் எங்கள் சாட்சியை நீங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 சத்தியத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ, தன் கிரியைகள் நம்முடைய பிதாவுக்குள் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன என்று வெளிப்படையாய்க் காணப்படும்படிக்கு, வெளிச்சத்தண்டை வருகிறான்.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 அப்பொழுது யோவானுடைய சீஷர்களில் சிலருக்கும் ஒரு யூதனுக்கும் சுத்திகரிப்பைக் குறித்து ஒரு விவாதம் எழுந்தது.

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 மணமகளை உடையவரே மணமகன்—அவரே இயேசு. மணமகனருகே நின்று அவருக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிற தோழனோ, மணமகனுடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு மிகவும் மகிழ்கிறான். ஆகவே என்னுடைய இந்த மகிழ்ச்சி இப்பொழுது நிறைவடைந்திருக்கிறது.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 அவர் பெருகவும், நான் சிறுகவும் வேண்டும்.

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 உயரத்திலிருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லாருக்கும் மேலானவர். பூமியிலிருந்து உண்டானவன் பூமிக்குரியவனாயிருந்து, பூமிக்குரிய விதமாய்ப் பேசுகிறான். பரலோகத்திலிருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லாருக்கும் மேலானவர்.

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 اور زمین بے ہیئت اور سُونی تھی، اور گہرے پانی کی سطح پر اندھیرا چھایا ہوا تھا، اور ہمارے باپ کا روح پانی کی سطح پر منڈلا رہا تھا۔

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 اور ہمارے باپ نے فرمایا، ”آسمان کی وُسعت میں روشنیاں ہوں جو دن کو رات سے جدا کریں، اور وہ نشانوں کے طور پر کام آئیں تاکہ موسموں، دنوں اور برسوں کو مقرر کریں،“

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 ہمارے باپ نے جو کچھ بنایا تھا اُس سب کو دیکھا، اور وہ بہت اچھا تھا۔ سو شام ہوئی اور صبح ہوئی—چھٹا دن۔

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 اب فریسیوں میں سے ایک آدمی تھا جس کا نام نِیکُدیمُس تھا، جو یہودیوں کا ایک سردار تھا۔

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 یہ آدمی رات کے وقت یسوع کے پاس آیا اور اُس سے کہا، ”اے رَبّی، ہم جانتے ہیں کہ آپ ایک اُستاد ہیں جو ہمارے باپ کی طرف سے آئے ہیں، کیونکہ کوئی بھی یہ نشان جو آپ دکھاتے ہیں نہیں دکھا سکتا جب تک ہمارا باپ اُس کے ساتھ نہ ہو۔“

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 یسوع نے اُسے جواب دیا، ”میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، جب تک کوئی نئے سرے سے پیدا نہ ہو وہ ہمارے باپ کی بادشاہی کو دیکھ نہیں سکتا۔“

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 نِیکُدیمُس نے اُس سے کہا، ”آدمی بوڑھا ہونے پر کیونکر پیدا ہو سکتا ہے؟ کیا وہ دوسری بار اپنی ماں کے پیٹ میں داخل ہو کر پیدا ہو سکتا ہے؟“

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 یسوع نے جواب دیا، ”میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، جب تک کوئی پانی اور روحُ القُدس سے پیدا نہ ہو، وہ ہمارے باپ کی بادشاہی میں داخل نہیں ہو سکتا۔“

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 جو جسم سے پیدا ہوا ہے وہ جسم ہے، اور جو روحُ القُدس سے پیدا ہوا ہے وہ روح ہے۔

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 تُو حیران نہ ہو کہ میں نے تجھ سے کہا، ’تم سب کو نئے سرے سے پیدا ہونا ضروری ہے۔‘

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 ہوا جدھر چاہتی ہے چلتی ہے، اور تُو اُس کی آواز سنتا ہے، لیکن تُو نہیں جانتا کہ وہ کہاں سے آتی ہے یا کہاں جاتی ہے۔ ہر اُس شخص کا یہی حال ہے جو روحُ القُدس سے پیدا ہوا ہے۔

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 نِیکُدیمُس نے اُس سے کہا، ”یہ باتیں کیونکر ہو سکتی ہیں؟“

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 یسوع نے اُسے جواب دیا، ”کیا تُو اسرائیل کا اُستاد ہے اور پھر بھی ان باتوں کو نہیں سمجھتا؟“

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 میں تجھ سے سچ سچ کہتا ہوں، ہم اُسی کی بات کرتے ہیں جسے ہم جانتے ہیں، اور اُسی کی گواہی دیتے ہیں جسے ہم نے دیکھا ہے، لیکن تم لوگ ہماری گواہی قبول نہیں کرتے۔

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 اگر میں نے تم سے زمینی باتیں کہی ہیں اور تم ایمان نہیں لاتے، تو اگر میں تم سے آسمانی باتیں کہوں تو تم کیونکر ایمان لاؤ گے؟

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 کوئی آسمان پر نہیں چڑھا سوائے اُس کے جو آسمان سے اُترا، یعنی ابنِ آدم۔

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 اور جس طرح موسیٰ نے بیابان میں سانپ کو اونچا کیا، اُسی طرح ضرور ہے کہ ابنِ آدم بھی اونچا کیا جائے،

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 تاکہ جو کوئی اُس پر ایمان لائے ہمیشہ کی زندگی پائے۔

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 کیونکہ ہمارے باپ نے دنیا سے ایسی محبت رکھی کہ اُس نے اپنا اکلوتا بیٹا بخش دیا، تاکہ جو کوئی اُس پر ایمان لائے ہلاک نہ ہو بلکہ ہمیشہ کی زندگی پائے۔

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 کیونکہ ہمارے باپ نے اپنے بیٹے کو دنیا میں اِس لیے نہیں بھیجا کہ دنیا پر سزا کا حکم لگائے، بلکہ اِس لیے کہ دنیا اُس کے وسیلے سے نجات پائے۔

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 جو اُس پر ایمان لاتا ہے اُس پر سزا کا حکم نہیں لگتا، لیکن جو ایمان نہیں لاتا اُس پر سزا کا حکم پہلے ہی لگ چکا ہے، کیونکہ وہ ہمارے باپ کے اکلوتے بیٹے کے نام پر ایمان نہیں لایا۔

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 اور سزا کا حکم یہ ہے: روشنی دنیا میں آ چکی ہے، مگر لوگوں نے روشنی کی نسبت اندھیرے سے محبت رکھی کیونکہ اُن کے کام بُرے تھے۔

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 کیونکہ ہر وہ شخص جو بُرے کام کرتا ہے روشنی سے نفرت رکھتا ہے اور روشنی کے پاس نہیں آتا، اِس ڈر سے کہ اُس کے کام کھل نہ جائیں۔

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 لیکن جو سچائی پر عمل کرتا ہے وہ روشنی کے پاس آتا ہے، تاکہ صاف ظاہر ہو جائے کہ اُس کے کام ہمارے باپ میں کیے گئے ہیں۔

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 اِس کے بعد یسوع اور اُس کے شاگرد یہودیہ کے دیہات میں گئے، اور وہاں وہ اُن کے ساتھ رہا اور بپتسمہ دیتا رہا۔

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 یوحنا بھی سالِم کے قریب عینون میں بپتسمہ دے رہا تھا، کیونکہ وہاں پانی کثرت سے تھا، اور لوگ آتے اور بپتسمہ پاتے تھے،

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 کیونکہ یوحنا ابھی تک قید میں نہیں ڈالا گیا تھا۔

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 اب یوحنا کے بعض شاگردوں اور ایک یہودی کے درمیان طہارت کے بارے میں بحث چھڑ گئی۔

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 اور وہ یوحنا کے پاس آئے اور اُس سے کہا، ”اے رَبّی، جو شخص یردن کے پار آپ کے ساتھ تھا، جس کی آپ نے گواہی دی تھی—دیکھیں، وہ بپتسمہ دے رہا ہے، اور سب لوگ اُس کے پاس جا رہے ہیں۔“

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 یوحنا نے جواب دیا، ”کوئی شخص ایک چیز بھی حاصل نہیں کر سکتا جب تک وہ اُسے آسمان سے نہ دی جائے۔“

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 تم خود گواہی دے سکتے ہو کہ میں نے کہا، ’میں مسیح نہیں ہوں، بلکہ مجھے اُس سے پہلے بھیجا گیا ہے۔‘

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 جس کے پاس دلہن ہے وہی دولہا ہے—یسوع۔ دولہے کا دوست، جو کھڑا ہو کر اُس کی سنتا ہے، دولہے کی آواز سے نہایت خوش ہوتا ہے۔ پس میری یہ خوشی اب پوری ہو چکی ہے۔

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 ضرور ہے کہ وہ بڑھے، اور میں گھٹوں۔

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 جو اوپر سے آتا ہے وہ سب سے اوپر ہے۔ جو زمین سے ہے وہ زمین کا ہے اور زمینی طور پر بات کرتا ہے۔ جو آسمان سے آتا ہے وہ سب سے اوپر ہے۔

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 وہ اُسی کی گواہی دیتا ہے جو اُس نے دیکھا اور سنا ہے، پھر بھی کوئی اُس کی گواہی قبول نہیں کرتا۔

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 جو اُس کی گواہی قبول کرتا ہے وہ اِس بات کی تصدیق کرتا ہے کہ ہمارا باپ سچا ہے۔

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 کیونکہ جسے ہمارے باپ نے بھیجا ہے وہ ہمارے باپ کی باتیں کہتا ہے، کیونکہ وہ روحُ القُدس بے انتہا عطا کرتا ہے۔

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 ہمارا باپ بیٹے سے محبت رکھتا ہے اور اُس نے سب کچھ اُس کے ہاتھ میں دے دیا ہے۔

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 جو بیٹے پر ایمان لاتا ہے اُس کے پاس ہمیشہ کی زندگی ہے؛ جو بیٹے کی فرمانبرداری نہیں کرتا وہ زندگی کو نہ دیکھے گا، بلکہ ہمارے باپ کا غضب اُس پر قائم رہتا ہے۔

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 प्रारंभी, आपल्या स्वर्गीय पित्याने आकाश व पृथ्वी निर्माण केली.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 पृथ्वी आकारहीन व रिकामी होती, खोल पाण्याच्या पृष्ठभागावर अंधार होता, आणि आपल्या पित्याचा आत्मा पाण्याच्या पृष्ठभागावर तरंगत होता.

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 तेव्हा आपला पिता म्हणाला, “प्रकाश होवो,” आणि प्रकाश झाला.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 प्रकाश चांगला आहे हे त्याने पाहिले, आणि त्याने प्रकाश अंधारापासून वेगळा केला.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 जमिनीने हिरवळ उपजवली: आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे बीज देणारी झाडेझुडपे आणि आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे बीज असलेली फळे देणारे वृक्ष. आणि ते चांगले आहे हे आपल्या पित्याने पाहिले.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 आणि संध्याकाळ झाली व सकाळ झाली—तिसरा दिवस.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 आणि आपला पिता म्हणाला, “दिवसाला रात्रीपासून वेगळे करण्यासाठी आकाशाच्या अंतराळात ज्योती होवोत, आणि त्या ऋतू, दिवस व वर्षे दर्शविण्यासाठी चिन्हे म्हणून असोत,”

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 “आणि पृथ्वीवर प्रकाश देण्यासाठी त्या आकाशाच्या अंतराळात ज्योती होवोत.” आणि तसे झाले.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 आणि आपला पिता म्हणाला, “जमीन आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे जिवंत प्राणी उपजवो: पाळीव गुरेढोरे, जमिनीवर सरपटणारे प्राणी, आणि रानटी पशू, प्रत्येक आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे.” आणि तसे झाले.

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 त्याने रानटी पशू आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे, पाळीव गुरेढोरे आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे, आणि जमिनीवर सरपटणारे सर्व प्राणी आपापल्या जातीप्रमाणे बनवले. आणि ते चांगले आहे हे त्याने पाहिले.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 म्हणून आपल्या पित्याने मानवजात आपल्याच प्रतिरूपात निर्माण केली; पिता, पुत्र व पवित्र आत्मा यांच्या प्रतिरूपात त्याने त्यांना निर्माण केले; नर व नारी असे त्याने त्यांना निर्माण केले.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

8 वारा जिकडे इच्छितो तिकडे वाहतो, आणि तू त्याचा आवाज ऐकतोस, पण तो कोठून येतो व कोठे जातो हे तुला कळत नाही. पवित्र आत्म्यापासून जन्मलेल्या प्रत्येकाचे असेच आहे.

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 निकदेम त्याला म्हणाला, “या गोष्टी कशा होऊ शकतात?”

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 येशूने त्याला उत्तर दिले, “तू इस्राएलाचा शिक्षक असून तरीही तुला या गोष्टी समजत नाहीत काय?

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 मी तुला खरे खरे सांगतो, जे आम्हांला ठाऊक आहे त्याविषयी आम्ही बोलतो, आणि जे आम्ही पाहिले त्याची साक्ष देतो, पण तुम्ही आमची साक्ष स्वीकारत नाही.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 मी तुम्हांला पृथ्वीवरील गोष्टी सांगितल्या तरी तुम्ही विश्वास ठेवत नाही, तर मी तुम्हांला स्वर्गीय गोष्टी सांगितल्या तर तुम्ही कसा विश्वास ठेवाल?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 स्वर्गातून उतरलेल्या मनुष्याच्या पुत्राशिवाय कोणीही स्वर्गात चढून गेला नाही.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 आणि जसे मोशेने रानात सर्प उंच केला, तसेच मनुष्याच्या पुत्राला उंच केले जाणे आवश्यक आहे,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 यासाठी की जो कोणी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याला सार्वकालिक जीवन मिळावे.

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 कारण आपल्या पित्याने जगावर इतके प्रेम केले की त्याने आपला एकुलता एक पुत्र दिला, यासाठी की जो कोणी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याचा नाश होऊ नये तर त्याला सार्वकालिक जीवन मिळावे.

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 कारण आपल्या पित्याने आपल्या पुत्राला जगाचा न्यायदंड करण्यासाठी जगात पाठवले नाही, तर त्याच्याद्वारे जगाचे तारण व्हावे म्हणून पाठवले.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 जो त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याचा न्यायदंड होत नाही, पण जो विश्वास ठेवत नाही त्याचा न्यायदंड आधीच झाला आहे, कारण त्याने आपल्या पित्याच्या एकुलत्या एका पुत्राच्या नावावर विश्वास ठेवला नाही.

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 आणि न्यायदंडाचे कारण हे आहे: प्रकाश जगात आला, पण लोकांनी प्रकाशापेक्षा अंधाराला अधिक प्रिय मानले, कारण त्यांची कृत्ये दुष्ट होती.

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 कारण जो कोणी दुष्ट कृत्ये करतो तो प्रकाशाचा द्वेष करतो आणि प्रकाशाकडे येत नाही, या भीतीने की त्याची कृत्ये उघडकीस येतील.

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 पण जो सत्य आचरतो तो प्रकाशाकडे येतो, यासाठी की त्याची कृत्ये आपल्या पित्यामध्ये केली गेली आहेत हे स्पष्टपणे दिसून यावे.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 यानंतर, येशू व त्याचे शिष्य यहूदीयाच्या ग्रामीण भागात गेले, आणि तेथे तो त्यांच्याबरोबर राहिला व बाप्तिस्मा देत होता.

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 योहानही सालीमजवळच्या एनोन येथे बाप्तिस्मा देत होता, कारण तेथे भरपूर पाणी होते, आणि लोक येऊन बाप्तिस्मा घेत होते,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 कारण योहानाला तोपर्यंत तुरुंगात टाकले नव्हते.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 आता योहानाच्या काही शिष्यांमध्ये व एका यहूद्यामध्ये शुद्धीकरणाविषयी वाद उद्भवला.

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 आणि ते योहानाकडे येऊन त्याला म्हणाले, “रब्बी, जो यार्देनेपलीकडे आपल्याबरोबर होता, ज्याच्याविषयी आपण साक्ष दिली—पाहा, तो बाप्तिस्मा देत आहे, आणि सर्व जण त्याच्याकडे जात आहेत.”

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 योहानाने उत्तर दिले, “स्वर्गातून दिले गेल्याशिवाय मनुष्याला एकही गोष्ट प्राप्त होऊ शकत नाही.

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 ‘मी ख्रिस्त नाही, तर त्याच्यापुढे पाठवलेला आहे’ असे मी म्हणालो याची तुम्ही स्वतः साक्ष देऊ शकता.

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 ज्याच्याजवळ वधू आहे तोच वर—येशू. वराचा मित्र, जो उभा राहून त्याचे ऐकतो, तो वराच्या वाणीने अत्यंत आनंदित होतो. म्हणून माझा हा आनंद आता पूर्ण झाला आहे.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 त्याची वृद्धी होणे आवश्यक आहे, पण माझी घट होणे आवश्यक आहे.

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 जो वरून येतो तो सर्वांहून श्रेष्ठ आहे. जो पृथ्वीचा आहे तो पृथ्वीचा असून पृथ्वीप्रमाणे बोलतो. जो स्वर्गातून येतो तो सर्वांहून श्रेष्ठ आहे.

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 जे त्याने पाहिले व ऐकले त्याची तो साक्ष देतो, तरी कोणीही त्याची साक्ष स्वीकारत नाही.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 जो त्याची साक्ष स्वीकारतो तो आपला पिता सत्य आहे यावर शिक्कामोर्तब करतो.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 कारण ज्याला आपल्या पित्याने पाठवले आहे तो आपल्या पित्याची वचने बोलतो, कारण तो पवित्र आत्मा मापाशिवाय देतो.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 आपला पिता पुत्रावर प्रेम करतो आणि त्याने सर्व काही त्याच्या हाती दिले आहे.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 जो पुत्रावर विश्वास ठेवतो त्याला सार्वकालिक जीवन आहे; जो पुत्राचे ऐकत नाही तो जीवन पाहणार नाही, तर आपल्या पित्याचा क्रोध त्याच्यावर राहतो.

1 In the beginning, our Heavenly Father created the heavens and the earth.

1 ఆదియందు మన పరలోకపు తండ్రి ఆకాశమును భూమిని సృజించెను.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of our Father was hovering over the surface of the waters.

2 భూమి నిరాకారముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఉండెను; అగాధజలముల ఉపరితలముపై అంధకారము కమ్మియుండెను; మన తండ్రి ఆత్మ నీళ్ల ఉపరితలముపై సంచరించుచుండెను.

3 Then our Father said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

3 అప్పుడు మన తండ్రి, "వెలుగు కలుగును గాక" అని పలికెను, వెలుగు కలిగెను.

4 He saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

4 ఆ వెలుగు మంచిదని ఆయన చూచెను; వెలుగును అంధకారమునుండి ఆయన వేరుపరచెను.

5 He called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

5 వెలుగును "పగలు" అని ఆయన పిలిచెను; అంధకారమును "రాత్రి" అని పిలిచెను. సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—మొదటి దినము.

6 And our Father said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water."

6 మన తండ్రి, "నీళ్లను నీళ్లనుండి వేరుపరచుటకు జలముల మధ్య ఒక విశాలమైన అంతరిక్షము కలుగును గాక" అని పలికెను.

7 So he made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.

7 కాబట్టి ఆయన ఆ అంతరిక్షమును చేసి, అంతరిక్షము క్రింది నీళ్లను దాని పైనున్న నీళ్లనుండి వేరుపరచెను. ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

8 He called the expanse "sky." So there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

8 ఆ అంతరిక్షమును "ఆకాశము" అని ఆయన పిలిచెను. కాబట్టి సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—రెండవ దినము.

9 Then our Father said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

9 అప్పుడు మన తండ్రి, "ఆకాశము క్రింది నీళ్లు ఒక చోటికి సమకూడును గాక, ఆరిన నేల కనబడును గాక" అని పలికెను. ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

10 He called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And he saw that it was good.

10 ఆరిన నేలను "భూమి" అని ఆయన పిలిచెను; సమకూడిన నీళ్లను "సముద్రములు" అని పిలిచెను. అది మంచిదని ఆయన చూచెను.

11 Then he said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear seed-bearing fruit, each according to its kind." And it was so.

11 అప్పుడు ఆయన, "భూమి పచ్చని చెట్లను—విత్తనములిచ్చు మొక్కలను, విత్తనములు కలిగిన ఫలములనిచ్చు వృక్షములను, ప్రతి దానిని దాని జాతిని బట్టి—మొలిపించును గాక" అని పలికెను. ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

12 The land produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing seed-bearing fruit according to their kinds. And our Father saw that it was good.

12 భూమి పచ్చని చెట్లను మొలిపించెను—తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము విత్తనములిచ్చు మొక్కలను, తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము విత్తనములు కలిగిన ఫలములనిచ్చు వృక్షములను. అది మంచిదని మన తండ్రి చూచెను.

13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

13 సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—మూడవ దినము.

14 And our Father said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark the seasons, the days, and the years,"

14 మన తండ్రి, "పగటిని రాత్రినుండి వేరుపరచుటకు ఆకాశాంతరిక్షమందు జ్యోతులు కలుగును గాక; అవి కాలములను, దినములను, సంవత్సరములను సూచించుటకు గురుతులుగా ఉండును గాక," అని పలికెను;

15 "and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.

15 "మరియు భూమిమీద వెలుగిచ్చుటకు అవి ఆకాశాంతరిక్షమందు జ్యోతులుగా ఉండును గాక." ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

16 Our Father made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

16 మన తండ్రి రెండు గొప్ప జ్యోతులను చేసెను: పగటిని ఏలుటకు పెద్ద జ్యోతిని, రాత్రిని ఏలుటకు చిన్న జ్యోతిని. ఆయన నక్షత్రములను కూడ చేసెను.

17 He set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,

17 భూమిమీద వెలుగిచ్చుటకు ఆయన వాటిని ఆకాశాంతరిక్షమందు ఉంచెను,

18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And he saw that it was good.

18 పగటిని రాత్రిని ఏలుటకును, వెలుగును అంధకారమునుండి వేరుపరచుటకును ఉంచెను. అది మంచిదని ఆయన చూచెను.

19 So there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

19 కాబట్టి సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—నాల్గవ దినము.

20 Then our Father said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."

20 అప్పుడు మన తండ్రి, "జీవముగల ప్రాణులతో నీళ్లు నిండును గాక, ఆకాశాంతరిక్షమందు భూమిపై పక్షులు ఎగురును గాక" అని పలికెను.

21 So he created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves and teems in the water, each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And he saw that it was good.

21 కాబట్టి ఆయన గొప్ప సముద్రజంతువులను, నీళ్లలో కదలి నిండియుండు జీవముగల ప్రతి ప్రాణిని తమ తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము, రెక్కలుగల ప్రతి పక్షిని దాని జాతి ప్రకారము సృజించెను. అది మంచిదని ఆయన చూచెను.

22 Our Father blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

22 మన తండ్రి వాటిని ఆశీర్వదించి, "మీరు ఫలించి అభివృద్ధిపొంది సముద్రములలోని నీళ్లను నింపుడి, పక్షులు భూమిపై అభివృద్ధిపొందును గాక" అని పలికెను.

23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

23 సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—అయిదవ దినము.

24 And our Father said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

24 మన తండ్రి, "భూమి జీవముగల ప్రాణులను తమ తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము పుట్టించును గాక: పశువులను, నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రాణులను, అడవి జంతువులను, ప్రతి దానిని దాని జాతి ప్రకారము" అని పలికెను. ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

25 He made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And he saw that it was good.

25 ఆయన అడవి జంతువులను తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము, పశువులను తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము, నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రాణులన్నిటిని తమ జాతుల ప్రకారము చేసెను. అది మంచిదని ఆయన చూచెను.

26 Then our Father said, "Let us make humanity in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creature that moves along the ground."

26 అప్పుడు మన తండ్రి, "మన స్వరూపమందు, మన పోలికెచొప్పున మనుష్యజాతిని చేయుదము; వారు సముద్రములోని చేపలమీదను, ఆకాశపు పక్షులమీదను, పశువులమీదను, భూమి అంతటిమీదను, నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రతి ప్రాణిమీదను ఏలుదురు గాక" అని పలికెను.

27 So our Father created humanity in their own image; in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit he created them; male and female he created them.

27 కాబట్టి మన తండ్రి తమ స్వరూపమందు మనుష్యజాతిని సృజించెను; తండ్రి, కుమారుడు, పరిశుద్ధాత్మ యొక్క స్వరూపమందు వారిని సృజించెను; మగవానిగాను ఆడుదానిగాను వారిని సృజించెను.

28 Our Father blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

28 మన తండ్రి వారిని ఆశీర్వదించి వారితో, "మీరు ఫలించి అభివృద్ధిపొందుడి; భూమిని నింపి దానిని లోపరచుకొనుడి. సముద్రములోని చేపలమీదను, ఆకాశపు పక్షులమీదను, నేలమీద కదలాడు ప్రతి జీవిమీదను ఏలుడి" అని పలికెను.

29 Then he said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears seed-bearing fruit. They will be yours for food.

29 అప్పుడు ఆయన, "భూమి అంతటి ఉపరితలముపై విత్తనములిచ్చు ప్రతి మొక్కను, విత్తనములు కలిగిన ఫలములనిచ్చు ప్రతి వృక్షమును నేను మీకిచ్చుచున్నాను. అవి మీకు ఆహారముగా ఉండును.

30 "And to all the animals of the earth, all the birds in the sky, and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

30 "మరియు భూమిలోని జంతువులన్నిటికిని, ఆకాశపు పక్షులన్నిటికిని, నేలమీద ప్రాకు ప్రాణులన్నిటికిని—జీవశ్వాస కలిగిన ప్రతి దానికిని—ప్రతి పచ్చని మొక్కను ఆహారముగా ఇచ్చుచున్నాను." ఆలాగే ఆయెను.

31 Our Father saw all that he had made, and it was very good. So there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

31 మన తండ్రి తాను చేసిన దానినంతటిని చూచెను, అది బహు మంచిదిగా ఉండెను. కాబట్టి సాయంకాలమాయెను, ఉదయమాయెను—ఆరవ దినము.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

1 పరిసయ్యులలో నీకొదేము అను ఒక మనుష్యుడుండెను; అతడు యూదుల అధికారి.

2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from our Father, for no one can do these signs that you do unless our Father is with him."

2 అతడు రాత్రివేళ యేసునొద్దకు వచ్చి ఆయనతో, "రబ్బీ, మీరు మన తండ్రియొద్దనుండి వచ్చిన బోధకుడని మేము ఎరుగుదుము; ఏలయనగా మన తండ్రి తనకు తోడుగా ఉంటేనే తప్ప మీరు చేయుచున్న ఈ సూచకక్రియలను ఎవడును చేయలేడు" అని చెప్పెను.

3 Jesus replied to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of our Father."

3 యేసు అతనితో, "నేను మీతో నిశ్చయముగా నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను, ఒకడు తిరిగి జన్మించితేనే తప్ప మన తండ్రి రాజ్యమును చూడలేడు" అని పలికెను.

4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

4 నీకొదేము ఆయనతో, "ముసలివాడైన మనుష్యుడు ఎట్లు జన్మించగలడు? అతడు రెండవమారు తన తల్లి గర్భములో ప్రవేశించి జన్మించగలడా?" అనెను.

5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of our Father."

5 యేసు, "నేను మీతో నిశ్చయముగా నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను, ఒకడు నీళ్లవలనను పరిశుద్ధాత్మవలనను జన్మించితేనే తప్ప మన తండ్రి రాజ్యములో ప్రవేశింపలేడు" అని ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Holy Spirit is spirit.

6 శరీరమువలన జన్మించినది శరీరమే, పరిశుద్ధాత్మవలన జన్మించినది ఆత్మయే.

7 Don't be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

7 'మీరు తిరిగి జన్మింపవలెను' అని నేను మీతో చెప్పినందుకు ఆశ్చర్యపడకుడి.

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit.

8 గాలి తనకిష్టమైన చోటికి విసరును, దాని శబ్దము నీవు విందువు గాని అది ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చునో, ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లునో నీకు తెలియదు. పరిశుద్ధాత్మవలన జన్మించిన ప్రతివాడును అట్లే ఉండును.

9 Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things be?"

9 నీకొదేము ఆయనతో, "ఇవి ఎట్లు సంభవించును?" అనెను.

10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"

10 యేసు అతనితో, "నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలుకు బోధకుడవై యుండియు ఈ సంగతులు ఎరుగవా?" అని ఉత్తరమిచ్చెను.

11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

11 నేను నీతో నిశ్చయముగా నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను, మాకు తెలిసినదానిని మేము పలుకుదుము, మేము చూచినదానిని గూర్చి సాక్ష్యమిచ్చుదుము; అయితే మీరు మా సాక్ష్యమును అంగీకరింపరు.

12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

12 భూసంబంధమైన సంగతులు నేను మీతో చెప్పినప్పుడు మీరు నమ్మకపోతే, పరలోకసంబంధమైన సంగతులు నేను మీతో చెప్పినప్పుడు మీరు ఎట్లు నమ్ముదురు?

13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

13 పరలోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చిన మనుష్యకుమారుడు తప్ప ఎవడును పరలోకమునకు ఎక్కిపోలేదు.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

14 మోషే అరణ్యములో సర్పమును ఎత్తినట్లు, మనుష్యకుమారుడును అట్లే ఎత్తబడవలెను,

15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

15 ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచు ప్రతివాడును నిత్యజీవమును పొందునట్లు.

16 For our Father so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 మన తండ్రి లోకమును ఎంతో ప్రేమించెను; కాబట్టి ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచు ప్రతివాడును నశింపక నిత్యజీవమును పొందునట్లు ఆయన తన అద్వితీయ కుమారుని ఇచ్చెను.

17 For our Father did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.

17 మన తండ్రి లోకమునకు తీర్పు తీర్చుటకు తన కుమారుని లోకములోనికి పంపలేదు గాని, ఆయన ద్వారా లోకము రక్షింపబడునట్లు ఆయనను పంపెను.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of our Father.

18 ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచువానికి తీర్పు తీర్చబడదు; విశ్వాసముంచనివాడు మన తండ్రి అద్వితీయ కుమారుని నామమందు విశ్వాసముంచనందున, ఇంతకుముందే వానికి తీర్పు తీర్చబడెను.

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

19 తీర్పు ఇదే: వెలుగు లోకములోనికి వచ్చెను గాని మనుష్యుల క్రియలు చెడ్డవైనందున వారు వెలుగుకంటె అంధకారమునే ప్రేమించిరి.

20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, for fear that his works will be exposed.

20 దుష్కార్యములు చేయు ప్రతివాడును తన క్రియలు బయలుపడునేమో అని వెలుగును ద్వేషించి వెలుగునొద్దకు రాడు.

21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in our Father.

21 అయితే సత్యము ననుసరించి నడుచువాడు, తన క్రియలు మన తండ్రియందు చేయబడెనని స్పష్టముగా కనబడునట్లు వెలుగునొద్దకు వచ్చును.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and there he remained with them and was baptizing.

22 ఇది జరిగిన తరువాత యేసును ఆయన శిష్యులును యూదయ దేశమునకు వెళ్లిరి; అక్కడ ఆయన వారితో ఉండి బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చుచుండెను.

23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized,

23 సలీముకు సమీపమందున్న ఏనోనులో నీళ్లు సమృద్ధిగా ఉన్నందున యోహానును అక్కడ బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చుచుండెను; జనులు వచ్చి బాప్తిస్మము పొందుచుండిరి,

24 for John had not yet been put in prison.

24 ఏలయనగా యోహాను అప్పటికి చెరసాలలో వేయబడియుండలేదు.

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification.

25 అప్పుడు యోహాను శిష్యులలో కొందరికిని ఒక యూదునికిని శుద్ధీకరణమునుగూర్చి వాదము కలిగెను.

26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him."

26 వారు యోహానునొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో, "రబ్బీ, యొర్దాను అవతల నీతో ఉండి, నీవు ఎవరిగూర్చి సాక్ష్యమిచ్చితివో ఆయన—ఇదిగో, బాప్తిస్మమిచ్చుచున్నాడు, అందరును ఆయనయొద్దకు వెళ్లుచున్నారు" అని చెప్పిరి.

27 John replied, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven."

27 యోహాను, "పరలోకమునుండి ఇయ్యబడితేనే తప్ప మనుష్యుడు ఒక్క దానినైనను పొందలేడు" అని పలికెను.

28 You yourselves can testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.'

28 'నేను క్రీస్తును కాను గాని ఆయనకు ముందుగా పంపబడితిని' అని నేను చెప్పినట్లు మీరే నాకు సాక్షులు.

29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom — Jesus. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

29 పెండ్లికుమార్తె కలవాడే పెండ్లికుమారుడు—యేసు. పెండ్లికుమారుని స్నేహితుడు, నిలిచి ఆయన మాట వినుచు, పెండ్లికుమారుని స్వరమునుబట్టి అత్యధికముగా సంతోషించును. కాబట్టి నా ఈ సంతోషము ఇప్పుడు సంపూర్ణమాయెను.

30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

30 ఆయన అభివృద్ధిపొందవలెను, నేను తగ్గవలెను.

31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

31 పైనుండి వచ్చువాడు అందరికంటె పైనున్నవాడు. భూమినుండి వచ్చినవాడు భూసంబంధుడై భూసంబంధముగా మాటలాడును. పరలోకమునుండి వచ్చువాడు అందరికంటె పైనున్నవాడు.

32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

32 ఆయన చూచిన దానిగూర్చియు విన్న దానిగూర్చియు సాక్ష్యమిచ్చును, అయినను ఆయన సాక్ష్యమును ఎవడును అంగీకరింపడు.

33 Whoever receives his testimony confirms that our Father is true.

33 ఆయన సాక్ష్యమును అంగీకరించువాడు మన తండ్రి సత్యవంతుడని ధృవపరచును.

34 For the one whom our Father has sent speaks the words of our Father, for he gives the Holy Spirit without measure.

34 మన తండ్రి పంపినవాడు మన తండ్రి మాటలను పలుకును; ఏలయనగా ఆయన పరిమితి లేకుండ పరిశుద్ధాత్మను అనుగ్రహించును.

35 Our Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

35 మన తండ్రి కుమారుని ప్రేమించి, సమస్తమును ఆయన చేతికి అప్పగించెను.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of our Father remains on him.

36 కుమారునియందు విశ్వాసముంచువానికి నిత్యజీవము కలదు; కుమారునికి విధేయత చూపనివాడు జీవమును చూడడు గాని, మన తండ్రి ఉగ్రత వానిమీద నిలిచియుండును.
